THE EFFECT OF WORK MOTIVATION, SCHOOL CULTURE, BEHAVIOR OF LEADERSHIP ON THE PERFORMANCE OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

PHYSIC TEACHER’S IN PAINAN

ABSTRACT

The background of this researchwas done in Senior High School Painan because there was an indication that teacher’s have not maximized their performance to get the education purpose.

Based on it, this research has has a goal to measure the level of work motivation, school culture, behavior of leadership of Senior High School physic teacher’s in Painan.

The research was done in Januari until Februari 2013 with total of sample 30 teacher in Senior High School Painan.

Research hypothesis test use path analyses, a technique which analyze the relation of cause and effect un the double regretion if free variable which influences the related variable, not only directly but also indirectly.

The result of this research shows direct effect among work motivation, school culture, behavior of leadership physic teacher’s is 70,10 %. Indirect effect among work motivation, school culture, behavior of leadership physic teacher’s on the performance is 29,10 %

PENGARUH MOTIVASI KERJA, BUDAYA SEKOLAH, DAN PERILAKU KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH TERHADAP KINERJA GURU FISIKA PADA SMA KOTA PAINAN

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh dalam lingkungan Sekolah Menengah Atas kota Painan masih terdapat indikasi adanya kinerja guru yang belum maksimal untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan. Terkait dengan hal tersebut di atas, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi kerja, budaya sekolah, dan perilaku kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja guru fisika di SMA kota Painan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Februari 2013 dengan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 orang guru fisika yang ada di lingkungan SMA kota Painan. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian menggunakan analisis jalur yaitu teknik untuk menganalisis hubungan sebab akibat yang terjadi pada regresi berganda jika variabel bebasnya mempengaruhi variabel terikatnya tidak secra langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh langsung antara motivasi kerja, budaya sekolah, dan perilaku kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja guru fisika adalah 67,20% dan sisanya sebesar 32,80 % dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dianalisis dalam penelitian ini.
