Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi yang terjalin antara Terapis dengan anak anak autis dalam kegiatan terapi di Yayasan Risantya, Bandung. Hal ini menyangkut tentang peristiwa komunikasi yang terjadi, bentuk komunikasi yang digunakan, serta tindak tutur yang ditunjukkan oleh Terapis dan peserta didik selama kegiatan terapi. Subjek penelitian adalah empat orang Terapis dan empat anak autis dari Yayasan Risantya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi komunikasi. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, serta analisis dokumen. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan model SPEAKING dari Dell Hymes.

This study aims to determine the pattern of communication between Therapists and autistic children in therapeutic activities at Risantya Foundation, Bandung. It is also concern about speech events that occurred, the form of
communication used, and speech acts that shown by the Therapists and students during activities. The subjects in this study were four Therapists and four children
with autism from Risantya Foundation. The method used in this study is a qualitative method approach to ethnography of communication. Data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data
processing techniques using SPEAKING models of Dell Hymes.
The results of this study, formulate some conclusions: patterns of
communication between Therapist and students is a complementary communication patterns. Speech events consists of a therapists as speakers, autistic children as opposed to speech, and the whole topic of their conversation
