PENGARUH PEMBERIAN MADU DALAM AIR MINUM PADA
FASE
BROODING
TERHADAP PERFORMA AYAM BROILER

ABSTRAK
Penelitian tentang pemberian madu dalam air minum pada fasebrooding
terhadap performa ayam broiler telah dilakukan di kandang unggas Laboratorium Produksi Ternak Unggas mulai dari tanggal 22 maret 2013 sampai dengan tanggal 19 april 2013. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air minum yang mengandung berbagai tingkat persentase madu pada periode brooding terhadap performa ayam broiler. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima macam perlakuan yang disusun berdasarkan tingkat penggunaan persentase madu yaitu : V0 = 0% ; V1 = 1,3% ; V2 = 2,6% ; V3 = 3,9%; V4 = 5,2%. Tiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak empat kali. Peubah yang diamati meliputi konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum. Perbedaan pengaruh antar perlakuan diuji menggunakan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pemberian madu sampai dengan 5,2% dalam air minum ayam broiler periode brooding memberikan respon yang sama terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum.

ON THE BROILER PERFORMANCE ATBROODING PHASE

ABSTRACT
The research concerning honey treatment in drinking water at brooding phase ofbroilerhave been conducted in the Laboratory of Poultry Production from March, 22 until April 2013. The research purpose is to determine the effect of drinking water containing various levels of honey on the broiler performance at brooding period. The experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments were arranged based on the level of honey concentration: V0 = 0 % ; V1 = 1.3 % ; V2 = 2.6 % ; V3 = 3.9 % ; V4 = 5.2 % . Each treatment was repeated four times. Variables measured included feed intake, body weight gain and feed conversion. The difference between the treatment effect, was tested using Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that honey treatment until 5.2 percent in drinking water has not significantly effect on feed intake, body weight gain and feed conversion.
