Perindustrian di Provinsi Jambi dari tahun 1997-2009 mengalami peningkatan baik dari unit usaha, tenaga kerja, investasi dan produksinya.

Jumlah Perusahaan Industri Pengolahan Besar dan Sedang di Provinsi Jambi pada Tahun 2009 sebanyak 84 dan angka ini menunjukkan penurunan sebesar 6,67 % dari tahun sebelumnya. Jumlah tenaga kerja sebesar 25.846 orang.

6.2. Pertambangan

Pertambangan adalah suatu kegiatan pengambilan endapan bahan galian berharga dan bernilai ekonomis dari dalam kulit bumi, di bawah permukaan bumi, dan di bawah permukaan air.

6.3. Listrik, Gas dan Air Minum

Perkembangan perlistrikan di Provinsi Jambi juga meningkat

sesuai dengan laju

perkembangan pembangunan. Data secara rinci dapat dilihat pada tabel 6.3.

Produksi air minum oleh PAM Kota Jambi sejak tahun 1995 sampai dengan 2009 dapat dilihat di tabel 6.7.

6.1. Manufacturing

Jambi shows good improvment on manufacturing sectors during 1997-2009 has increased based on number of large/ medium manufacturing establishment, workers, investment and its production. The number of establisment in 2009 was 88 shows on decreased of 2,22 %. Number of workers in 2009 was 25.846 person.

6.2. Energy and Mineral Resources

Energy and Mineral Resources is an activity of taking economically valued material from within the earth skin, under earth surface, and under the water level.

6.3. Electricity, Gas and Water Supply

The growth of electricity in Jambi Province rise equally with development growth. See on table 6.3.
