MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA AND
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ECUADOR CONCERNING
COOPERATIONINTHE FIELD OF TELECOMMUNICATION
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the RepublicofEcuador(hereinafter referred toas"theParties");
BEARING IN MIND the existing friendly relations between the Indonesian andEcuadorianpeoples;
DESIRING to strengthen cooperation in the field of telecommunication betweenthePartiesbasedontheprincipleofequalityand mutualbenefit;
RECOGNIZING thesignificanceoftelecommunicationfor theeconomic and socialdevelopmentofIndonesiaandEcuador;
CONSIDERING the need to develop and foster the cooperation between the
Partiesinthefieldof telecommunication;
PURSUANTtotheprevailinglawsand regulationsinthetwocountries;
HAVEAGREEDasfollows:
Article1 Objectives
The objectives of the Parties in concluding this Memorandum of Understanding are: a. To strengthen the economic relationship between the Parties;
b. To encourage and promote investments in each country's telecommunication projects;
c. To facilitate the implementation of the cooperation in the field of
telecommunication by private sectors.
Article 2 Areas of Cooperation
The areas of cooperation under this Memorandum of Understanding may include the following subjects of mutual interest :
a. Management service
b. services
c. Training and benchmarking
