The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 had a real impact in terms of decreasing gas distribution, foreign exchange losses, weakening LPG prices, and reduction in toll fee rates demand from several consumers.

Menerapkan resilience dilakukan dengan tiga strategi utama yaitu Operation Excellence, Strengthen Resilience dan Priority Development.

Pada strategi Operation excellence, Pertamina Gas menjalankan program workforce protection, resources optimization, integrated management system dan continuous improvement program. Pada strategi Strengthen Resilence perusahaan menjalankan program cost leadership & effectiveness, protect & care customers, stakeholder management dan adaptive business model. Sedangkan pada strategi Priority Development perusahaan menjalankan program selected new project & demand dan infrastructure integration.

Selain tiga strategi utama, manajemen Pertamina Gas juga membangun dan memperkuat pemahaman atas core value perusahaan yaitu AKHLAK. Demi meningkatkan daya juang seluruh pekerja Pertamina Gas manajemen juga membangun nilai motivasi kerja yaitu Adaptive, Creative, Efficient, Reliable dan Communicative.

Seluruh upaya tersebut berbuah manis di akhir tahun 2020. Secara finansial perusahaan membukukan laba bersih sebesar USD106,6 juta dan EBITDA 2020 sebesar USD245,7 juta yang pencapaian keduanya melebihi target RKAP 2020. Total aset perusahaan di tahun 2020 juga meningkat menjadi USD2,13 milyar, naik signifikan dari total aset di tahun 2019 yaitu USD2,06 milyar.

Secara finansial Perusahaan membukukan laba tahun berjalan untuk tahun 2020 sebesar USD106,63 juta dan pada tahun 2019 sebesar USD150,23 juta, serta menghasilkan jumlah laba komprehensif tahun berjalan untuk tahun 2020 dan 2019 sebesar USD107,21 juta dan USD148,80 juta. Hal

Financially the company posted a net profit of USD106.6 million and a 2020 EBITDA of USD245.7 million which was exceed the 2020 RKAP target. The company's total assets in 2020 also increased to USD2.13 billion, a significant increase from total assets in 2019, amounting USD2.06 billion.

Meningkatkan realisasi investasi, dimana tahun 2020 mampu dicatatkan sebesar USD141.18 juta atau 98.2% dibanding dengan RKAP 2020 yaitu USD 143.79 juta. Terdapat pertumbuhan investasi selama tahun 2020 sebesar 619% dibanding realisasi tahun 2019 sebesar USD 22.8 juta. Pertumbuhan investasi signifikan diakibatkan adanya pengembangan bisnis melalui investasi pipa minyak mentah koridor Minas – Duri – Dumai dan koridor Balam – Bangko – Dumai untuk mendukung proses alih kelola Blok Rokan oleh Pertamina. Mengingat proyek pipa minyak mentah tersebut bersifat multiyear maka realisasi investasi tahun 2020 hanya akan mengurangi porsi nilai investasi di tahun 2021 tanpa mengubah total nilai investasi proyek yang disetujui dalam Final Investment Decision. Pengembangan bisnis juga dilakukan dengan investasi pada infrastruktur pipa gas distribusi yaitu di Sumatera Utara untuk Kuala Tanjung, di Jawa Tengah untuk Aroma Kopi dan di Riau untuk BOB Siak.

Prestasi lain yang berhasil diraih oleh Pertamina Gas di tahun 2020 adalah berhasil memperoleh 7 Final Investment Decision, 8 Agreement, 27 perjanjian berupa MOU/NDA/HOA, 33 Business Initiative dan 46 Penghargaan.

Investment growth during 2020 was 619% compared to the realization in 2019 of USD22.8 million. The significant investment growth was driven by business development through investment in the crude oil pipeline of the Minas – Duri – Dumai and the Balam corridor – Bangko – Dumai to support the process of transferring management of the Rokan Block by Pertamina. The crude oil pipeline project is multiyear, thereby the investment realization in 2020 will only reduce the investment value in 2021 without changing the total investment value of the project approved in the Final Investment Decision. Business development is also implemented by investing in gas distribution pipeline infrastructure, namely in North Sumatra for Kuala Tanjung, in Central Java for Aroma Kopi and in Riau for BOB Siak.

Another achievement by Pertamina Gas in 2020 was the success of obtaining 7 Final Investment Decisions, 8 Agreements, 27 agreements in the form of MOU/NDA/HOA, 33 Business Initiatives and 46 Awards.
