Meanwhile, the other 3 students believed themselves to be high when they had good preparation and mastery of the material. In this case they will be confident because they have understood and mastered the material that has been conceptualized.

Fourth, 8 in of 10 students feel less confident because they lack vocabulary which makes it difficult for them to translate sentences. In this case they combine Indonesian and English. Apart from lack of vocabulary, they are also afraid of

making mistakes and being laughed at when they want to talk which causes them to be nervous and embarrassed. As for 1 other student felt less confident because he did not understand a material in speaking lessons and 1 other student never did not feel confident when speaking, this is because students often get used to speaking.

Fifth, 8 in of 10 students stated that the problems they often face during speaking lessons are the lack of vocabulary and difficulty translating sentences. In this case it causes them to be hesitant and nervous which makes it difficult for them to speak English because they lack vocabulary which makes it difficult for them to translate sentences. Meanwhile, the other 2 students stated that the problem that is often faced during speaking lessons is how to dare to speak and be able to convey something that can be understood by others.

Sixth, 8 in of 10 stated that they will speak fluently when they have high confidence, where when they have high self-confidence they will not feel nervous, they will not be afraid when pronouncing the wrong pronunciation, they will have more control over themselves, and will have more confidence yourself when speaking in public or in front of the class. Meanwhile, the other 1 student who stated that this returned to the ability of the student and 1 other student who stated that he would be more confident when he mastered grammar because grammar is the most important when speaking in English.

Seventh, 8 in of 10 stated that they have filler when speaking in public especially when speaking in English. Where do they think this happens

Eighth, 9 in of 10 students stated that self-confidence increased their ability in speaking skills because when they were confident they would be easier and more relaxed when they spoke in public. According to them, the most important thing in speaking is self-confidence. The other 1 student stated that according to him, confidence in speaking was number 2 and most importantly grammar.

Ninth, 5 out of 10 students stated that confidence in improving pronunciation, because according to them when they were confident in speaking they would often speak in English and without realizing it, it would make them get used to it and know how to say good and correct words, so that will increase the ability of our pronunciation itself. The other 5 students stated that self- confidence did not increase their ability in pronunciation because they thought that pronunciation itself depended on the students' own abilities because in mastering pronounces we had to study it more deeply.

Tenth, 4 out of 10 students state that they believe that if all English students have high self-confidence they will have the ability to speak, especially in the English department, which has many special speaking subjects and we as English students this is actually a difficult thing to do mastered. The other 6 students stated that they did not know about this because as we know that people's

abilities are different so this is returned to each student how they try to improve their own speaking skills.
