Employee Health Insurance

The latest report of the employee health program utilization was most promising.

There is a significant drop in the services utilized in comparison to one year ago. This is the first year that the retirees have been removed completely from the program. Indications are that this has had a positive impact on the entire group. Surely other factors are involved, however, the retiree transfer to other medical services has been felt.

OFFICE SERVICES

NEW TOLL FREE "800" NUMBER

The change from AT&T to MCI for Toll Free "800" Service was made in October. At this time the number was changed and service was expanded to include Canada. As a promotion, MCI is providing an additional 5% discount for being a business mem- ber of the Wholesale Club resulting in even greater savings than anticipated.

TRANSIENT VOLTAGE SURGE PROTECTOR

This equipment has been installed which will now monitor power in and out, and automatically adjust to maintain constant volts and dissipate any and all vari- ances. It will also assure proper levels and "clean" voltage at all times to equipment.

IRRIGATION (SPRINKLER) SYSTEM (OUTDOORS)

This system has been installed and tested. The contractor did an excellent job with installation showing very little sign of uprooting the sod. Next March the system will again be tested and adjustments made if necessary.

SOLAR MASTER WINDOW FILM

The sun reflecting, heat conserving thermal window insulation was installed the week of November 27th. This very importartt investment should result in

conservation of energy, better employees comfort, improved morale, product- ivity, and employee satisfaction.

WORKSTATION FURNISHINGS

All the necessary materials required to provide offices for the newly authorized positions have been requisitioned and all items should arrive no later than Dec- ember 15th. Renovations were done over weekends so departments experienced only minimal disruption.

Approximately eighty percent of the approved Capital Expenditure Request has been requisitioned and many purchases are coming in below original quotes.

LITERATURE DEPARTMENT

With the cooperation of all departments maintaining better inventories, orders are filled on a day-to-day basis. The addition of one full time position last fiscal year was instrumental in expediting all request for shipment.

DUPLICATING

The Duplicating Department was able to satisfy all needs for printing and was able to process all mailings within the schedules developed. November was some- what slower allowing time to get caught up. With some rescheduling of mailing from January to December, they will be busy through the holidays, but it will lessen the mailings in January.
