Student Transfer

3.6.1 Student Transfer to Brawijaya University

Students transfer to Brawijaya University, between UB campuses, between faculty in Brawijaya University, are transfers within an equal educational level.

1. Requirements

a. Admissions as a transfer student for the Undergraduate Program are:

Has involved in education continuously at least for two semesters and a maximum of four semesters, and have submitted:

- Two-semester: achieved at least 40 SCU with the GPA of ≥ 3.00 or - Four-semester: achieved at least 80 SCU with the GPA of ≥ 3.00 b. Not a dropped-out student and had never been an/or under academic sanctions from

c. Field/program of study of origin is in accordance with Brawijaya University d. The original study program is accredited with at least the predicate B by BAN-

PT.

e. Have taken college continuously at the origin college

f. Receive permission / approval to transfer from the leadership of the higher education, and submit evidence of other valid academic activities

g. Students submit a letter of application to the Rector of Brawijaya University with a copy of the letter to the Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawjiaya University who is in charge of the intended study program

h. Other requirements determined by the intended Faculty / Study Program / Department

2. Procedures of Submitting a Transfer Application The procedures are as follows:

a. Application to transfer is submitted in writing with strong reasons to the Rector of Brawijaya University with a copy to the Dean of the intended Faculty;

b. T h e a p p l i c a t i o n m u s t g i v :

1. List of original score from the previous university, with the GPA;

2. Letter of transfer from the previous university;

3. Parental/guardian/agency approval; and

4. A certificate that state the student has never violated the Higher Education regulations.

3. Time of Submitting a Transfer Application

a. Application to transfer must be received by Brawijaya University no later than 1 (one) month before the start of the new academic year (odd semester).

b. Application for transfer will not be considered if the time limit as mentioned in point (a) is exceeded.

3.6.2 Transfer of Students Between Faculties 1. Requirements

a. Admissions as a transfer student for the Undergraduate Program are:

Has attended education continuously for at least 2 (two)

semesters and a maximum of 4 (four) semesters and have collected:

- For 2 (two) semesters: have reached a minimum of 24 credits with a GPA ≥ 2.75 or - For 4 (four) semesters: have reached a minimum of 48 credits with a GPA ≥ 2.75 b. Not dropping out of studies because they do not meet the academic requirements of the original faculty.

c. Never violate the original faculty regulations d. Approval of moving from the previous faculty

e. Transfer must be in accordance with the field of science and in the same/equal education level

f. The dean of the intended faculty stated in writing his willingness to receive g. Transfer of students between faculties may only be 1 (once) as long as the person concerned is a student of Universitas Brawijaya

h. Transfer of students is determined through the University Chancellor's Decree Brawijaya

2. Procedures of Submitting Transfer Request The procedure is as follows:

a. Application to transfer is submitted in writing with good reasons to the Rector with a copy to the Dean of the intended Faculty;

b. The application must be accompanied by:

1) List of valid scores obtained from the original Faculty with the GPA;

2) Parental / guardian / agency approval; and

3) The certificate has never violated the rules of the Faculty of origin.

47 3. Time of Submitting Transfer Request

a. Applications of transfer must be received by the Rector no later than 1 (one) month before the lecture starts.

b. Transfer applications will not be considered if such time limits are exceeded.

3.6.3 Transfer of Students between Departments in One Faculty at Brawijaya University Transfer of students between departments can be performed with due attention

the following terms:

1. Admission as a transfer student is:

The undergraduate program has attended course continuously for at least 2 (two) semesters and a maximum of 4 (four) semesters and has collected:

- For 2 (two) semesters: have reached a minimum of 24 credits with a GPA ≥ 2.75 or - For 4 (four) semesters: have reached a minimum of 48 credits with a GPA ≥ 2.75 2. Not dropping out of studies because they do not meet academic requirements 3. Never violated the rules of the previous department

4. Approval to move from the previous department

5. The head of the intended department states in writing his willingness to accept 6. Transfer of students between majors may only be 1 (once) as long as the person concerned is a student of Brawijaya University

3.6.4 Transfer of Students Between Study Programs

Transfer of students between study programs in one department/faculty is regulated by the respective faculty regulation by taking into account the provisions in Brawijaya University Education Guidelines. Student Registration Number (NIM) changes according to the new study program.

3.6.5 Transfer of Diploma III Program to Undergraduate Program Admission and Academic Activities:

1. Admission

a. Admission as a program transfer student is determined by the Rector with the consideration of the Dean.

b. In giving consideration, the Dean must pay attention to the existing capacity, the suitability of the study program and the results of the assessment test.

c. Applicants who are accepted are required to meet the administrative requirements specified by the intended University / Faculty.

2. Trial Period and Study Success Evaluation

a. The probation period is 2 (two) semesters with the obligation to collect a certain number of credits as determined by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University.

b. Achieve a Cumulative IP of at least 2.00.

c. Program transfer students who do not meet the requirements as referred to in items (a) and (b) are declared unable and are not allowed to continue their studies at Brawijaya University.

d. Students who are accepted through the program transfer have the obligation to pay tuition fees like students accepted through the interest and ability program.

e. Evaluation of the study success after the trial period refers to the provisions of Degree program.

3. Credit Load and Credit Transfer

a. The credit load that must be met by program transfer students in completing their studies is in accordance with the credit load of the undergraduate program reduced by the maximum amount of credits recognized as 80 credits.

b. The transferred credit load is the amount of credit obtained from the D III program and recognized by Universitas Brawijaya.

c. Credit transfer evaluation is conducted by the intended Faculty.

4. Study Period Limit

The study period for a transfer student is a maximum of 4 (four) years including the probation period.

5. Transcripts of Graduates for Program Transfer Students

Program Transfer Student Transcripts are a list of courses and their scores for taken courses during program transfer in the Undergraduate Program. Taken subjects during the Diploma program are not permitted to be included on the transcript of Undergraduate Program.

3.7 Student of Study Assignments

Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya Univesity accepts students of study assignments from government agencies with the following conditions:

a. Come from State Universities / State Academies;

b. Choosing the appropriate Study Program / Department;

c. Fulfill the academic and administrative requirements that have been determined; and d. Capacity allows.

3.8 Tuition Fee Payment Terms 3.8.1 New Students

Every new student who is accepted in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawiaya University is obliged to pay tuition/education fee (tuition fee) according to the provisions stipulated by the Decree of the Rector of Brawijaya University. Payment of these fees is made during administrative registration which can be paid at once in one year or in two stages at the beginning of each odd and even semester.

3.8.2 Old Students

a. Every student who does administrative registration is required to pay tuition fees which can be paid at once in one year or two stages at the beginning of each odd and even semester.

b. Students who do not re-register without the permission of the Rector are still required to pay tuition fees as long as they are not active. and payment is made at the time of registration at the time the person concerned will re-study by submitting an active application again.

c. If a student obtains the Rector's permission for academic leave, he / she is exempted from the obligation to pay tuition fees during the academic leave. If the lecture terminal permit is given after the deadline for applying for academic leave, then you are still required to pay tuition fees. This provision also applies to new students.

d. The amount of tuition fees is determined by the Rector's Decree of Brawijaya University.

49 3.9 Graduation Requirements

The requirements are:

1. Students have passed the thesis examination and have listed their names on the judicial decree issued by the Dean by filling the data at SIUDA as a queue requirement for the graduation list;

2. Students who graduate from the Undergraduate Program are required to attend graduation as a condition for obtaining a diploma which is submitted at the time of graduation in accordance with the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Brawijaya Number 155 / SK / 2013;

3. Graduation participants who cannot attend the graduation ceremony can take their diplomas at the faculty or re-register to attend graduation again;

4. If you do not follow the graduation within 1 (one) year after the graduation date, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University is not responsible for the loss and damage of the certificate;

5. A diploma required prior to the graduation ceremony can be borrowed by depositing a security deposit into the Rector's account in accordance with applicable regulations;

and

6. Certificates that have been submitted to the alumni of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University cannot be reissued if they are lost, damaged or burned or misprinted.

3.10 Guidance and Counseling (BK) and Academic Advisors (PA) 3.10.1 Guidance and Counseling

Guidance and Counseling (BK) is the process of providing systematic and intensive assistance conducted by specialists to the students in the context of personal, social and learning skills development for their future careers, which is conducted by a team specifically tasked with it.

1. P u r p o s e Helping students in:

a. Realizing his potential optimally, both for his own benefit and society;

b. Locating and adapting to the environment constructively;

c. Solve the problems it faces realistically;

d. Make decisions about various options rationally;

e. Implement decisions in a concrete manner and be responsible for the determined decisions; and

f. To plan for a better future.

2. Funtion The function is:

a. Distribution: guidance functions in helping students get an environment that suits their situation;

b. Adjustment (adaptation): guidance functions in order to help students adapt to their environment, both residential social environment and learning environment;

c. Prevention: guidance functions in order to help students avoid possible obstacles in self-development to achieve optimal self-learning success;

d. Improvement: guidance functions in helping students improve their conditions which are deemed inadequate;

e. Adaptation: guidance functions in helping the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University in adjusting policies to student circumstances; and

f. Guidance and counseling officers maintain confidentiality from students related to the guidance and counseling needs.

3. Service Program It covers:

a. Collecting student data both academic and non-academic;

b. Providing information to students about various things that are useful for their personal, social, study and career development;

c. Providing training to students in groups for their personal, social, study and career development;

d. Problem solving assistance services, both academic and non-academic through counseling / consultation;

e. Providing referral services to students whose problems are not resolved by guidance officers or counseling lecturers;

f. Providing training and consultation to related academic advisors

with a process of guidance and counseling to students who are cared for; and

g. Providing information to leaders of Faculties and Departments about various characteristics related to the level of student learning success in general.

4. Others

a. Guidance and Counseling Officers must periodically report their duties to the leadership.

b. Counseling lecturers in the Department must periodically report their assignments to Head of Department.

c. Leaders of Faculties and Departments must pay attention to the rights of Guidance and Counseling officers and lecturers.

3.10.2 Academic Advisor

Academic Advisor (PA) is a lecturer who provides assistance in the form of academic advice to students, according to their study program, to improve students' academic abilities, so that their studies are properly completed.

1. Duty The duty is:

a. Provides information about the use of supporting facilities and infrastructure for academic and non-academic activities;

b. Helps students in overcoming academic problems;

c. Helps students in developing good learning attitudes and habits (learning skills) so that learning independence grows for the success of their studies as an expert;

d. Provides recommendations on student learning success rates for certain needs;

e. Assists students in developing their personality towards the realization of a whole Indonesian human being who has insight, thinks and behaves in accordance with the values of religion, nationality and customs, and various other positive norms;

f. Helps students develop insight into scientific learning independently throughout their lives; and

g. Provides a warning about academic evaluations to students whose GPA for 2 (two) consecutive semesters is less than 2 (two) and less than 20 credits.

2. At the time of academic registration at the beginning of each semester, Academic Advisor lecturers are obliged to conduct their advisory duties with the activities including:

a. Processing of filling in the Course Selection Form (KRS) and being responsible for the

51 correctness of its contents;

b. Determine the correctness of the number of credits that students can take in the semester concerned with due observance of applicable regulations;

c. Researching and giving approval to the semester studies planned by students in KRS;

and

d. When determining the amount of study load, the Academic Advisor is obliged to provide sufficient explanation of the decisions taken by students so that students can realize and accept this determination with full attention and understanding.

3. In conducting their duties, the Academic Advisor lecturers pay attention to the learning outcomes of their students individually or in groups each semester.

a. Academic Advisors can ask for help from other work units (including Guidance and Counseling) in the context of advising.

b. Advisory activities in the academic field coordinate with the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, while in non-academic they coordinate with the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs.

c. Every Academic Advisor lecturer must always pay attention to the Code of Ethics for Campus Life.

d. Advisory administration is regulated in accordance with the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University.

4. Others

a. Each academic advisory lecturer is required to report his/her assignments periodically to the leaders of the Faculties, Departments, and Head of the Study Program.

b. Heads of Faculties, Departments, and Heads of Study Programs must pay attention to the rights of Academic Advisor lecturers.

CHAPTER IV

STUDENT’S CODE OF CONDUCT AND CODE OF ETHIC OF GREAT FAMILY OF FACULTY OF

MATHEMATICS AND NATURAL SCIENCE

4.1 Code of Conduct 4.1.1 General requirements

The great family of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University in this discipline is the triad of academicians of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University, which consists of:

1. Lecturers, either permanent or non-permanent;

2. Administrative staff, namely technicians and general administration staff, both civil servants as well as permanent non civil servants; and

3. Students, namely students of the UB MIPA Faculty.

4.1.2 Right and Duty

Right and duty of academic and administrative personnel are regulated as stated in the university guidelines.

Students Rights

1. Obtain learning and education in accordance with the Study Program

2. Participate in every student activity organized and approved by the Faculty and University.

3. Obtain and use every available facility according to ways and applicable provision.

4. Convey suggestions and opinions in a constructive manner in accordance with the applicable regulations by keeping in mind the norms of decency, politeness and in accordance with the personality and philosophy of the Indonesian people.

Students Duties

1. Alongside other academicians to develop the system of life as a scientific society with a culture, Pancasila moral and Indonesian personality.

2. Strengthen and maintain a sense of oneness among fellow Universitas Brawijaya Campus Families.

3. Assist and participate actively in every implementation of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular programs.

4. Maintain integrity as a graduate candidate as well as being obedient and loyal to all applicable regulations in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UB and in Universitas Brawijaya.

5. Be chivalrous, polite, and full of responsibility towards fellow UB's extended family and the wider community.

4.1.3 Social Manners and Responsibilities

1. Social manners in the Brawijaya University environment are based on family principles and uphold harmony and balance in accordance with the Pancasila view of life.

2. The great family of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University

53 has the responsibility to maintain the good name of the alma mater and realizes that universities must truly be a scientific community that will continue to develop in accordance with the development of science and knowledge so that an atmosphere conducive to the implementation of the teaching and learning process in a broad sense is a shared responsibility.

Violation on code of conduct is in the form of:

1. Action that can undermine and undermine the good name of the alma mater / extended family of Universitas Brawijaya.

2. Undermining the authority of University or Faculty officials in carrying out their duties and positions.

3. Acting to abuse and go beyond the authority available to him.

4. Acting arbitrarily and unfairly towards fellow human beings.

6. Conduct illegal levies in any form in carrying out their duties for personal or group interests.

7. Fighting and refusing duties from the authorities.

11. Doing actions that are not in accordance with decency both in attitude, speech, writing nor pictures.

12. Misusing the name, symbol, and sign of Brawijaya University.

13. Using rooms, buildings, or other facilities illegally Universitas Brawijaya without permission.

14. Extortion, gamble, carry and abuse illegal drugs on campus Brawijaya University.

15. Disseminating writings and ideas that are prohibited by the government.

16. Pitting one another and inciting among the academic community of Universitas Brawijaya.

17. And others that are prohibited by the prevailing laws and regulations.

Sanctions

1. Brawij aya University extended families who commit violations may be subject to sanctions.

2. The form of sanctions can be:

a. Warning and or warning;

b. Compensation for damages incurred and or payment of a fine;

c. Suspension;

d. Prohibition from participating in academic activities in whole or in part for a certain time or forever; and

e. Revocation of rights or dismissal as a member of Brawiajaya University Family.

Violation Consideration Committee (PANTIB)

1. Brawijaya University extended family that commits violations will be processed by the Violation Consideration Committee (PANTIB) which is formed by a Rector's Decree.

2. PANTIB membership consists of academic staff who are appointed by the Rector at the suggestion of the Dean of the Faculty, for a term of 2 (two) years.

3. PANTIB submits the results of the examination of violations of this discipline to the Rector, and the final decision rests with the Chancellor.

Additional Requirements

Brawijaya University extended family who commit violations are given the right to defend themselves in front of the Rector, both verbally and in writing before the Rector makes a final decision.

4.2 Students Code of Ethic 4.2.1 General Requirements

In this regulation, what is meant by:

1. Code of Ethics for UB MIPA Faculty Students and hereinafter abbreviated as Code of Ethics is a written guideline which is a standard of behavior for UB MIPA Faculty students in interacting with academicians in the scope of learning activities, extracurricular activities and other activities as well as interactions with society in general;

2. University is Brawijaya University Malang, abbreviated as UB, an institution that organizes educational, research and community service activities;

3. Faculty is the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University, as an academic executing element in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences branches;

4. Norms are rules or regulations that are binding and are used as appropriate and accepted guidelines, rules and controls;

5. Lecturers are teaching staff at universities who are specifically appointed with the main task of teaching;

6. Students are students, who are legally registered in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University including students for study assignments, hybrid students, listening students, and foreign students;

7. Examination is a form of assessment of learning outcomes which can be held through Mid-Semester Examination, Final Semester Examination, and final / thesis examination;

8. The academic community is a unit consisting of lecturers, students, and educational staff in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University;

9. Lecture is a process that occurs in the planning and presentation of teaching and learning materials at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University and the evaluation of these processes and the products and elements involved;

10. Extra-curricular activities are a set of activities outside the curriculum to improve students' abilities in academics and professionalism based on noble morals; and 11. Student ethics are values, moral principles that must be practiced in daily life by

students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Brawijaya University based on the norms that live in society.
