Program Director that determines that a student has completed the study and declared to have passed the course in accordance to the graduation requirements in the faculty/program/graduate program.
a. A student is said as a graduate if:
- Has meet the requirements as mentioned in sub chapter 2.7;
- Does not exceed the maximum study period of seven years; and - Uploads self-photo and thesis in SIAM.
b. Predicate
The graduation predicate consists of three levels, i.e., satisfying, very satisfying, and with praise as stated in academic transcript. The GPA as the basis for determining the predicate of graduation based on the Regulation of the Minister Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Permenristekdikti) Number 44 Year 2015 about National Standard of Higher Education (SN Dikti) and UB Regulations Number 1 Year 2017 about Quality Standards are:
1. GPA 3.51 – 4.00 : With Honor 2. IPK 3,01 – 3,50 : Very Satisfying 3. IPK 2,76 – 3,00 : Satisfying 4. 4. IPK 2,00 – 2,75 : -
The predicate of graduation with honors is also determined by considering the maximum study period. It is a maximum of four years for undergraduate program. Have never been subjected to disciplinary sanctions, or academic sanctions, no C+ (minimum B) score and (n+0,25) for program transfer.
c. Bachelor’s Degree
Bachelor’s Degree is arranged through the Government Regulations Number 17 Year 2010 about Management and Implementation of Education and Kepmenristekdikti Number 257/M/KPT/2017 updated in the Decree of Director General of Belmawa Kemenristekdikti Number 46/B/HK/2019 about the list of names of study program in higher education, hence, the degree for undergraduate program academic education graduates is: Bachelor, written behind the name of the rightful by including letter S. and followed by the initials of the study program or field of science (For degree of Bachelor of Biology, Bachelor of Chemistry, Bachelor of Physics, Bachelor of Instrumentation: S.Si., for the degree of Bachelor of Mathematics: S.Mat., for the degree of Bachelor of Statistics: S.Stat., for the degree of Bachelor of Geophysical Engineering: S.T.).
allowed to continue their studies if they meet the following requirements:
1. Collected at least 20 SCU including general courses or personal development courses; and
2. Achieve GP of at least 2.0 calculated from 20 SCU of courses with best scores.
c. The Evaluation of the Second Year Study Success
Students are still allowed to continue their study after the second year, if they meet the following requirements:
1. Collected at least 48 SCU; and
2. Achieve GP of at least 2.0 calculated from 48 SCU of courses with best scores.
d. The Evaluation of the Third Year Study Success
Students are still allowed to continue their study after the third year, if they meet the following requirements:
1. Collected at least 72 SCU; and
2. Achieve GP of at least 2.0 calculated from 72 SCU of courses with best scores.
e. The Evaluation of the Third Year Study Success
Students are still allowed to continue their study after the fourth year, if they meet the following requirements:
1. Collected at least 96 SCU; and
2. Achieve GP of at least 2.0 calculated from 96 SCU of courses with best scores.
f. The Evaluation of Study Success at the End of Undergraduate Program Study
The number of credits a student needs to collect to complete the undergraduate program study is 144-160 SCU, including thesis/other assignments as set by the faculty. The faculty determines the minimum number of the SCU within the distribution limit. Students that have collected at least the minimum SCU as mentioned above is said to have completed the Undergraduate Program if they meet the following requirements:
1. Minimum GPA of 2.00;
2. SCU with D and/or D+ is not more than 10% of total credit load.
3. No E score; and
4. Pass the thesis exam or other equal activities.
If the GPA is below 2.00, the student needs to improve the course score as long as the study period has not been exceeded. The improvement needs to be done in the following semester when the subject is being offered. The highest score of each improved course will be used for evaluation.
g. Excessive Course Termination
Students are not allowed to terminate the excessive course programmed and written in Study Plan Card.
h. Study Period Limit
Undergraduate Program must be completed within seven years, counted since registered as students. If students could not complete the undergraduate program by the determined time, the student concerned is said to fail to continue his study. The seven years study period does not include academic leave/terminals. However, students who do not re-register without the Rector’s permission are counted as study period.
2.10.2 Transfer Program Students Success Evaluation
Transfer program is a program specified for D3 program graduates who will continue to undergraduate program. Under the normal circumstances, D3 program is carried out for six semester or three years. The D3 program graduates who get accepted to the undergraduate transfer program in one of the Study Programs available in FMIPA UB, the following regulations will apply to the evaluation of study success:
a. Students are considered to have had six semesters by the time they started transfer program.
b. The total SCU recognized during the first time accepted to the program is 72 SCU minimum.
c. The Evaluation of the First Year Study Success
The evaluation of the first-year study success of transfer program students is equal to the study success evaluation of the fourth year of undergraduate program, which includes:
1. Collected at least 96 SCU; and
2. Achieve GP of at least 2.0 calculated from 96 SCU of courses with best scores.
d. The Evaluation of Study Success at the End of Undergraduate Program Study
