Brookville, Ind. Furnished enameled street signs for Brookville. Erected guide posts for county.

Caldwell, Idaho. Started a movement to mark the course of the Old Oregon Trail thr.ough Idaho, by putting up signs at river crossings and historical points. Assisted the Daughters of the Revolution in placing a marker at the Boise River crossing of Old Oregon Trail.

Fort Worth, Texas. Stencilled names of streets on the curbstones with the assist·

ance of the Boy Scouts, thus saving thousands of dollars for city.

Gary, Ind. Erected signs at cost of $125 at main entrances to city-welcoming tourists but cautioning them to "Look out for our kiddies."

Lynchburg, Va. Had a "Welcome to Lynchburg" sign with Kiwanis emblem 15 feet in diameter erected on heights immediately across the James River and in plain view of all passing trains. This sign is lighted at night. Approxi- mate cost complete was $750.

Manchester, N. H. Promoted the putting up of street signs in the towns and cities of New Hampshire.

Mansfield, Ohio. Street signs for the business district of the city were paid for by the Kiwanis club, which gave $1,000 for this purpose.

Midland, Mich. Club has posted, every two weeks, State Highway Road Maps on the Kiwanis Bulletin Boa·rd giving conditions of roads throughout the state.

Missouri Valley, Iowa. Marked streets for parking.

Monroe, Ga. Six hundred small road signs have been placed throughout this section of Georgia. A large sign with the picture of Stone Mountain was also erected at the junction of the Monroe and Winder roads, three miles from At.hens.

Newton, N. C. Erected a large sign advertising the county, also giving popula- tion and resources.

Picher, Okla. Put up zinc signs on roads leading into city. This zinc used is a product which is produced from mines of Picher, Oklahoma.

Puyallup, Wash. Metal sign erected with "Puyallup Welcomes U" on one side, while on the other side is "Good luck, come back." Smaller signs on either side carry day and hour of Kiwanis and Chamber of Commerce meetings.

These signs cost about $150.

Raton, N. M. Appointed a committee which was successful in getting the city council to mark all the streets of. the city by stencilling the curbs at all street intersections.

Red Wing, Minn. Marked the city streets.

Regina, Sask. Erected 84 Kiwanis road signs on highways leading to Regina.

Rochester, Pa. Erected 100 porcelain direction signs throughout the county.

St. Boniface, Manit. The St. Boniface Kiwanis Club cooperated with Winnipeg . club in the erection of Emerson Highway road signs.

San Bernardino, Calif. Erected a large sign in Waterman Canyon on the main- road into the mountains, making an appeal for fire prevention.

Statesville, N. C. Erected signs on all principal roads leading into city.

Tacoma, Wash. Raised $3,000 and erected a giant "Welcqme to Tacoma" arch, made of five-foot fir trees, equipped with rest room, toilet and drinking fountain.

The Dalles, Ore. Club erected street markers throughout the city.

Vallejo, Calif. Erected and painted Kiwanis signs.

Vidalia, Ga.' Placed road signs on Jeff Davis Highway.

Warren, Pa. Erected information signs at approaches to city.

Waterloo, Iowa. Marked a "Kiwanis Trail" making a scenic tour of Waterloo.

Winnipeg, Ont. Constructed and erected 70 road signs on International High- ways between Winnipeg and Emerson.

The thousands of motor tourists who make for the open roads will enjoy their touring more because of the activity of the clubs in the following ways:

Anaconda, Mont. Continued to sponsor tourist camp. Held an Auto Show to help defray expenses. Installed a new water system. Fifty cents per car per day is charged to insure successful operation and to help defray expenses.

Barrie, Ont. Club supplied all labor for clearing grounds for tourist camp and town council supplied material. Erected "Welcome" signs.

Bellevue, Ohio. Built a tourist camp.

Billings, Mont. Forty tables were built for the use of tourists at the tourist park.

Blackfoot, Idaho. Proceeds of ball game to provide signs directing tourists to camp grounds.

Buchanan, Mich. Opened the Kiwanis free tourist camp for the season and advertised same with one hundred small arrows distributed throughout the southern part of Berrien county and by four large signs on main roads coming into town.

Butte, Mont. The Butte club reports that 4,288 cars and 13, 7 40 people were registered and entertained during the 19 23 touring season at the tourist camp sponsored by this club.

Casselton, N. D. Club has charge of tourist rest camp and public playgrounds.

Chanute, Kans. Placed easy chairs and a davenport in tourist home in county fair grounds for use of women with little children.

Chisholm, Minn. Club published a tourist guide and distributed it widely.

Connersville, Ind. The Kiwanians of Connersville have equipped a fine tourist camp in conjunction with a city park. A concrete pump building, benches, a telephone booth, electric lights with 25-cent meter ovens and tables have been furnished by these Kiwanians. They have also beautified the adjoining public park with trees, shrubbery and flowers.

Dayton, Ohio. Built and presented to city welfare department for use at tourist camp, a 40 by 100 foot, screened in, dining room, with tables and chairs for use of tourists. Also built a large stone fireplace in this dining hall.

Dayton, Wash. Cleaned auto tourist park.

Decatur, Ill. Erected a recreation and dining hall in the tourist camp.

Edgerton, Wis. Twenty-five members went out one day and built very substantial tables for the tourist camp and made it a very attractive place.

Elgin, Ill. Constructed a building for accommodation of tourists at the Elgin Kiwanis tourist camp.

Fredonia, Kans. Installed radio service at the tourist camp.

Hammond, Ind. The club sponsored the idea of putting an information bureau on a main highway for the purpose of "selling" Indiana to the tourists passing through the city and state.

Hawkinsville, Ga. Erected a shelter on the auto camp grounds for the protection of tourists in disagreeable weather.

Iola, Kans. Cleaned up tourist camp grounds and replaced ovens, water pipes and fuel for the tourist season.

Jacksonville, Texas. Established and maintained a tourist camp.

Kingsport, Tenn. Erected road signs on main entrances to the city and main- tained a bureau of information for tourists.

Lewistown, Mont. Worked on tourist park built by the club in 1923.

Madison, Wis. The Madison Kiwanis Club sent two members each evening to the municipal tourist camp to meet tourists and extend to them any possible courtesies.

Maquoketa, Iowa. Established a tourist camp.

Mendota, Ill. Took over public camp grounds and made it modern in every way.

This camp is under the supervision of the Kiwanis club.

Milledgeville, Ga. Made provisions for wood and comforts at the tourist camp.

Also furnished "Welcome" cards for tourists for publicity of the city and county.

Morris, Minn. The Kiwanis tourist park, owned and maintained by the Kiwanis club, was improved by the addition of much new equipment and put in con- dition for the tourist season.

New Castle, Ind. Built a shelter house in the local tourist camp.

Newton, Iowa. The Kiwanis club furnished free camping grounds near the city.

Ogden, Utah. Furnished electric stoves at the free auto camp.

Orillia, Ont. Club members spent several afternoons clearing up and equ~pp~ng a motor camp ground.

St. Louis, Mo. Sponsored the establishment of a tourist camp in cooperation with other civic clubs.

Steubenville, Ohio. Cleared a field on the outskirts of the city and built a tourist camp.

Sturgis, Ky. Sponsored a tourist camp with water and lights.

Tacoma, Wash. Fostered a movement for a second public tourist camp. In conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce aided in securing a free infor- mation bureau for tourists.

Uniontown, Pa. In collaboration with other organizations, established an Infor- mation Bureau for tourists. Were of service to 236,000 tourists during four summer months of 1924.

Valley City, N. D. Club completed the construction of the Kiwanis exhibition hut in the tourist camp.

Valparaiso, Ind. Opened and maintained a tourist camp in Valparaiso University Park.

Westby, Wis. Turned out in a body and beautified the tourist camp.

Williamston, Mich. Made arrangements for a Kiwanis club tourist camp for Williamston.
