The Committee on Under-Privileged Child presented gold medals to the winners of the Physical Efficiency Test. Cooperation with the judge in the children's court in the work for underprivileged boys.

Syracuse, N. Y. There is a Potato Club sponsored by this Kiwanis club with the cooperation of the County Junior Extension Board. As a result of the piece, there is a better spirit of friendliness and cooperation between the farmers and Kiwanians.

KIWANIS AND CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE

This club sold a full supply of books which the Chamber of Commerce had on hand. Assisted in raising money to hire a full-time secretary for the Chamber of Commerce.

EDUCATIONAL WORK

The club sponsored a movement to create more public spirit and interest in the high school activities. Secure the promise of the school board to install a heating system in the high school. Kiwanis Club donated $50 to be given to the high school student who obtained the highest marks for the year ending June 1924.

AID TO BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY

The club took an active part in the membership campaign for the Oregon State Motor Association. The Kiwanis Club's Economic Study Committee worked with the Industrial Committee and invited new industries to locate in Selma. The club helped hand over the project of buying the county fairground with the aim of continuing the fair and creating a community club and playground.

BOYS' WORK

Under the management of the Boys' Work Committee, a banquet and party was held for more than 100 working boys. An expert boys' work organizer from the Boys' Federation of New York has been secured for one month to assist in the organization of the club. Every day 12 members of the club went to the camp to entertain the boys.

BOY SCOUTS

The committee bought two wheelchairs for the children's hospital and gave shoes, socks and suits (worth $100) to needy children, approx. The club started plans to set up an artesian well for the local scouts at their summer camp. The district manager of the club offered three prizes to Scouts for building miniature houses, which were auctioned off.

BEAUTIFICATION OF CITY AND ENVIRONS

Flower boxes were placed by this club on all light poles in the central part of the town and the Boy Scouts take care of the flowers. Established a tree planting club for boys, each boy planted one tree with his own name and each member of the club had control over three boys. The club had a standing committee which was active in getting flowers and shrubs planted and the grounds of home owners improved in appearance.

PLAYGROUNDS AND RECREATION

The club cleared a portion of the Delaware River bank for a swimming beach for the children. Installed playground equipment for the city schools and graded the high school athletic field. The club once again built a skating rink on part of a city block for the children of the city.

IMPROVEMENT OF CIVIC CONDITIONS

Worked to get other clubs in town interested in building a community clubhouse. Assisted with a provincial road construction program, the expansion of the city limits and the installation of new street signs. Thanks to the efforts of the Kiwanis Club, a new hotel will be built by Hockenbury System, Inc.

AID TO STUDENTS

Establish uniform flag decoration system for streets in the business district. Took a very prominent part in the action for $300,000 for a community hotel which was successfully placed. The club issued a bond for the purpose of purchasing new fire equipment and also to annex new territory to the city.

AMERICANIZATION

Supported the Auto and Style Show under the auspices of the American Legion, helped with the publicity work and had representatives on the board of directors. American Legion assisted in raising funds for Chaplin Burr's Salvation Army home for prisoners.

ATHLETICS

Improvement of Community Conditions

These teams are provided with regular uniforms, paid for by the club members, and each play a series of at least eight games under the supervision and direction of the Kiwanis Club. Agreed to pay part of the salary of a high school teacher, who will be sports director for all students in the schools. In 1924, a summer school for athletic coaches was held in Superior under the auspices of the Kiwanis Club.

The Kiwanis Clubs of Ohio contributed funds and helped raise funds for the relief of the victims of the tornado at Lorain, Ohio. Club regularly made monthly contributions to Neighborhood House, a settlement house in which this club has long been interested, and paid the light and gas bills for the Mission of the Nazarenes.

CAMP FIRE GIRLS

In recognition of their service, Kiwanians were honored with an invitation to attend the Campfire Girls Council. The three trees are named in honor of those who have been benefactors of the Camp Fire Girls. The club won this honor because it contributed $1,000 to the purchase of the camp two years ago, and spent a day at the camp last year and the year before doing work such as clearing the grounds and constructing buildings , Wichita Falls, Texas. .

CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS

About 100 members and friends of the club went to the County Home, Church Home Orphanage, Economy Home Orphanage and York County Chain gang and distributed gifts to each individual. COMFORT OF PATIENTS IN HOSPITALS

Free moving picture shows were given twice daily five days a week in the summer in the various public playgrounds in the evening and in the hospitals for "shut-ins" in the afternoon. Set up a committee to work with the city's hospitals to give convalescents the opportunity to ride on Sunday and public holiday afternoons. A radio was installed at the bedside of a cripple who had been confined to his bed for the past two years.

Waged an active campaign in favor of the good roads movement in Kentucky. The club was active in the work to improve rural roads, preparing a program for the district committee. The club is working to make the Mississippi River Scenic Highway part of the federal highway system.

HEALTH AND SANITATION

A sanitation facility for the town was installed by private individuals in accordance with the club's plans. Five committees worked with city officials and health officials to implement a clean-up campaign for the city. HOSPITALS

PATRIOTIC ACTIVITIES

A number of clubs in North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia are endeavoring to get the federal government to make national parks in the beautiful mountain districts of these states.

PREPAREDNESS

Sponsored the federally authorized organization of Company K, 200th Infantry, Georgia National Guard. Danville owns a new armory that was on the verge of closing because the draft of a National Guard company was not strong enough. Through the activity of the Hagerstown Club, a new armory was provided to this community, which at the same time succeeded in·.

RED CROSS

He supported three public-spirited citizens by attending a dinner with 65 percent of the club's membership and succeeded in winning over enough young men to save the town's armory. SALVATION ARMY

Each member assisted in canvassing the town for funds for the Salvation Army building, about $5,000 being secured by these members.
