Richards et al, vocabulary is a core component of language skills and provides much of the basis for how well learners speak, listen, write and read.1 Based on the statement above, it can be concluded that vocabulary must be mastered by students in order to to learn English successfully. The result of the study is expected to be able to make a contribution in education aspect especially in learning process such as theoretical and practical. In other words, hyponyms are a sentence relationship between predicates (or somewhat longer phrases) such that the meaning of one predicate is included in the meaning of the other.
Interest
The cognitive aspect is based on concepts children develop about the areas related to the interest. In other words, there is a correlation between pleasure and the emergence of interest, because pleasure will generate interest in the objects and people that satisfy them. Although no predisposition to a field, but with habits and practice can lead to the emergence of attention to a field.
English Song
From the explanation above, it can be concluded that interest is an active psychological intention related to pleasure, willingness, consciousness/. 37 Jiati Endah Sari et al, “The correlation between students' ability to listen to the English songs and their vocabulary mastery” e-Journal of English Language Teaching Society (ELTS) Vol. 2. Songs must have clear and understandable lyrics. According to explanation above, it can be concluded that song offers students to increase their vocabulary mastery.
Correlation between Students’ Interest in Listening English Song and Vocabulary Mastery
Through singing, students can acquire new vocabulary and understand the meaning of the new word. According to Hancock, songs can be used to focus on the form of the language, including grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.43 Songs are thus suitable authentic language material for developing vocabulary mastery.
Previous Research Findings
In addition, Siti Nurahfia's research investigated the correlative study between students' habit of listening English song and listening performance in the fourth semester of English department class STAIN Ponorogo in the academic year 2012/2013. The result of the study shows that the correlation study between students' usual in listening English song and listening performance was sufficient correlation with the value being significant for α= 5% and α= 1%. In conclusion, listening to English song can improve performance, especially in listening performance, in addition, students' motivation in learning English as a foreign language can.45.

The researcher analyzes the mean score of each test to detect improvements in students' vocabulary mastery after the action. The improvement in students' vocabulary knowledge shows that their mean score in the post-test was higher than the mean score in the pre-test. The latest inspiration comes from Yi-Chun Chen's research titled "The Effect of English Folk Songs on Learning Motivation and Learning Performance".48 The objective of this study was to explore whether the use of English folk songs can improve students' of primary schools. motivation to learn English.

Theoretical Framework
The results of this study showed that the majority of students were interested in learning English popular songs and their learning motivation also increased after engaging in this creative teaching activity. Students who are interested in listening to English songs tend to be satisfied while doing this activity. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that students' interest in listening English song can improve vocabulary mastery.
These variables X (Students' interest in listening to English song) as independent variable and Y (Vocabulary mastery) as dependent variable.
Hypothesis
While the so-called, alternative hypothesis (Ha) it a says that the relationship between variables in the population.50. The hypothesis of this research is an alternative hypothesis (Ha) that there is a significant relationship between students' interest in listening to English song and vocabulary mastery in the second semester of English department of STAIN Ponorogo in the academic year 2014/2015.

Variable X was identified as students' interest in listening to English songs and Variable Y was identified as students' mastery of vocabulary. Both students' interest in listening to English songs and vocabulary mastery in the second semester of the English Department of STAIN Ponorogo in the academic year were measured. Students' interest in listening to English songs was measured using questionnaires, and students' vocabulary mastery was obtained from the documentation for the score of the middle test. The result of the test was used to determine whether there was a significant correlation between students' interest in listening to English songs and vocabulary mastery in the second semester of the English department of STAIN Ponorogo in the academic year or not.
In this research, the researcher used the questionnaire method to obtain information from the respondents about the students' interest in listening to the English song in the second semester of the English department of STAIN Ponorogo in the academic year 2014/2015. Interest in listening to English songs and mastering vocabulary in the second semester of the STAIN Ponorogo English department in the academic year 2014/. To test the validity of this instrument, the researcher took a sample of 22 respondents using a 30-item instrument on students' interest in listening to an English song.
The validity calculation of students' interest in listening to English songs can be seen in Appendix 4. There are two types of questionnaires; there is an open-ended questionnaire and an attached questionnaire.64 In this research, the researcher used an attached questionnaire about students' interest in listening to English song in the second semester. In this research, the researcher used the documentation to obtain data on students' vocabulary mastery that can be determined from the midterm test result in the second semester of the English department of STAIN Ponorogo in the academic year.
So to know whether or not there is a significant correlation between students' interest in listening to English songs and vocabulary mastery in the second semester of the English department of STAIN Ponorogo in academic year 2014/2015. If rxy > rt then Ho is rejected/accepted Ha , so baseless, lies between students' interest in listening to English songs and students' vocabulary. If rxy ≤ rt then Ho is accepted/rejected Ha, i.e. unfounded, mean between students' interest in listening to English songs and students' mastery of vocabulary, there is no positive correlation that is so significant.

Ha: There is significant correlation between students' interest in listening to English song and vocabulary mastery in the second semester of English department of STAIN Ponorogo in the academic year 2014/2015.
Thus, it can be said that there was a significant correlation between students' interest in listening to English song and vocabulary mastery in the second semester of English department of STAIN Ponorogo in the academic year 2014/2015.
Interpretation
Discussion
From the data analysis on the correlation between students' interest in listening English songs and vocabulary mastery at the second semester of English department of STAIN Ponorogo in academic year, it found that the indices of coefficient correlation between Variable X and variable Y was 0.646. The data above showed that there was significant correlation between students' interest in listening to English songs and vocabulary mastery at the second semester of English department of STAIN Ponorogo in academic year 2014/. This means that the increasing students' interest in listening English song will follow by increasing students' vocabulary mastery.
By that, there is any tendency if the students' interest in listening English song is good, then the vocabulary mastery will be good.
