First and foremost, the researcher expresses praise and gratitude to Allah SWT., God Almighty who always bestows His grace and mercy to the completion of this skripsi from the beginning to the end, with the title "An Analysis on University Students’ Ability in Understanding Figurative Language of The Short Novel The Little Prince" to be presented as fulfillment of the requirements for the attainment of a Bachelor of Education degree at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji.
