"THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND THE PREVENTION OF THE SPREAD OF COVID- 19 IN THE BISSAPPU SUB-DISTRICT"

ABSTRACT
Background : Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease in the respiratory tract caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), or what is often called the Corona virus. This virus has a high mutation rate and is a zoonotic pathogen that can survive in humans and animals.
The clinical manifestations are very diverse, ranging from asymptomatic, mild to severe, even death. Knowledge is one of the most important things to pay attention to when dealing with COVID-19 cases. Public knowledge, especially about preventing the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, is very useful in stopping transmission of the virus. Having a good knowledge of something, a person will have the opportunity to identify and decide how to deal with it.
ii Purpose : This study aims to analyze the Relationship between the Level of Public Knowledge and the Prevention of the Spread of Covid-19 in the Bissappu Sub-District.
Method : The method in this research is cross sectional analysis. With a sample of 100 people using Random sampling technique. By collecting data using a questionnaire. This research uses Chi-square test data analysis.
Results : Knowledge of the community was categorized as high as 57 people (57.0%) and in the low category as many as 43 people (43.0%). Prevention The spread of respondents in the high category was 56 people (56.0%) and the low category was 44 people (44.0%). The Chi-square test value is p-value: 0.001 (p-Value ≥0.05)
Conclusion : The results of this study indicate a significant relationship between the level of public knowledge on the prevention of the spread of coronavirus in Bissappu Sub-District

“HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PENCEGAHAN PEYEBARAN COVID-19 DI KECAMATAN BISSAPPU”

Latar Belakang : Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) adalah suatu penyakit infeksi pada saluran pernapasan yang disebabkan oleh severe acute respiratory syndrome virus corona 2 (SARS-CoV-2), atau yang sering disebut virus Corona. Virus ini memiliki tingkat mutasi yang tinggi dan merupakan patogen zoonosis yang dapat bertahan pada manusia dan hewan Manifestasi klinisnya sangat beragam, mulai dari asimptomatik, ringan hingga berat, bahkan kematian. Pengetahuan menjadi salah satu yang penting hatus diperhatikan saat menangani kasus COVID-19. Pengetahuan masyarakat khususnya mengenai Pencegah penyebaran virus SARS-CoV-2 sangat bermamfaat dalam menghentikan penularan virus. Memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang sesuatu, seseorang akan memiliki kesempatan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memutuskan bagaimana menghadapinya. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Untuk
iv menganalisis Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Masyarakat Terhadap Pencegahan Penyebaran Covid-19 di Kecamatan Bissappu.
Metode : Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Analitik Cross Sectional.
Dengan sampel sebanyak 100 orang menggunakan teknik Random sampling.
Dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data Uji Chi-square.
Hasil : Pengetahun masyarakat kategorik tinggi yaitu 57 orang (57,0%) dan kategorik rendah sebanyak 43 orang (43,0%). Pencegahan Penyebaran responden dalam kategorik tinggi yaitu 56 orang (56,0%) dan kategorik rendah yaitu 44 orang (44,0%). Nilai uji Chi-square yaitu Nilai p : 0.001 (p-Value ≥0.05)
Kesimpulan : Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan bermakna antara tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap pencegahan penyebaran Covid- 19 di Kecamatan Bissappu
