Bartlett Water Shutdown

Due to availability of parts the water shutdown at Bartlett Hall scheduled for tomorrow has been moved to Wednesday August 2nd. This will start at 6AM and should be complete by 10AM. This will affect the hot water only in the building. Thanks, The Physical Plant.

Crane Operation at Myers Hall

On August 2nd Academic Alley as well as the Powell Campus Center parking lot will be closed from Tuesday at 9PM until Wednesday at noon. Also the South end of Myers Hall will be closed during the Crane Operation that day.

TIAA Consultant on Campus

A TIAA consultant will be conducting one-on-one, 45-minute, individual retirement counseling sessions on August 16 and September 6 in the Human Resources Conference Room in Greene Hall. Alfred/Düsseldorf MFA in Painting September 15 - October 19, 2017

Opening Reception: Friday, September 15, 7-9 pm

The School of Art and Design celebrates the launch of the new MFA Painting program with an exhibition featuring work by painting faculty: Jutta Haeckel, Heidi Hahn, Stephanie McMahon, Kevin Wixted and visiting professors, Peter Hristoff, Stefan Kürten and Driss Ouadahi.

Last Chance to See "Circle and Square" at the Cohen, Closing Friday

Circle and Square, a survey of William Underhill's cast bronze, iron, and aluminum sculptures, features pieces dating from 1960 through his current work.

Underhill's work formally explores the vessel and architectural form. Circle and Square highlights sculpture that demonstrates a sophisticated use of geometry. William Underhill is an emeritus faculty member who taught at NYSCC, School of Art and Design at Alfred University, from 1969 to 1997.

During this time he taught sculpture and established the first bronze foundry. Underhill's contributions helped to significantly expand the Division of Sculpture/ Dimensional Studies.

Gallery Hours during the last week of exhibition are 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2 - Friday, August 4.
