Judul Skripsi: The analysis of private speech in the speech class of the third semester of Muhammdiyah University of Makassar Dengan ini menyatan bahwa. The analysis of private speech in the speech class of the third semester of Muhammdiyah University of Makassar. The research aims to find out how the students' English vocabulary gains by using private speech in the third semester speech class of Unismuh Makassar and what are the students' reasons for using private speech on students' speaking skills in terms of accuracy in the third semester speech class of Unismuh Makassar in the third semester of Unismuh Makassar.

Hal ini terlihat dari hasil analisis data, perasaan siswa mempunyai banyak keuntungan dalam menggunakan private speaking dalam pelajaran berbicara dalam hal akurasi. Tujuan dari skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengetahuan kosakata bahasa Inggris mahasiswa menggunakan private speaking pada semester 3 Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Tujuan dari setiap wawancara adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan berbicara siswa ditinjau dari keakuratannya dan alasan mengapa siswa menggunakan private speaking dalam pelajaran berbicara.

Siswa menemukan bahwa menggunakan pidato pribadi di kelas pidato sangat bermanfaat bagi mereka dalam hal akurasi. Harapannya, proposal yang berjudul “Analisis Private Speech pada Kelas Pidato Semester III Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar”.

According to Vygotsky (1978) in Abadikhah and Khorshidi (2013), private speech is the process through which language first serves a social purpose and later plays a self-regulatory function. He considers private speech as "the process of privatizing speech in such a way that higher forms of consciousness arise on the inner plane and thus our biological capacities are organized into culturally mediated minds." To find out what are the reasons of the students in using private speaking on the speaking skills of the students in terms of accuracy in the speaking class in the third semester of Unismuh Makassar. In collecting data for this research, the researcher would limit this study to focus only on Private Speech Analysis on students' speaking skills in terms of accuracy and what are the students' reasons for using private speech in the classroom. speaking in the third semester. Research Subject

Research subject of the research was the students of Unismuh Makassar, English Education Department in the C class during the third semester. To determine the topic in this research, the researcher applies purposive sampling of the sample as the reason why the students had previous experience about private speech because the class is more than excellent in speaking to obtain the data. The sample of this research was 10 students in the C class at the third semester of the English Education Department.

Research Instrument

The analysis of private speech in speaking skills in terms of accuracy in students' vocabulary performance. Based on the interview result, some of the research persons admitted that they are used to Private Speech to improve their self-confidence. The data shows that the students do Private Speech because they have more confidence, especially in speaking skills.

Based on the interview result, some of the research subjects admitted that they were used to Private Speech to improve their speaking skills. The data shows that students do private speaking because they can improve their speaking skills. Based on the interview result, some of the research subjects admitted that they were used to Private Speech to improve their pronunciation.

In addition, the theories related to the findings of students' private speech to improve grammar refer to O'Reilly, Erin. The use of Private Speech has also helped the students to complete or tackle the individual task of the students. The students should always give private speech to improve the student's skills in English, especially speaking.

Private speech does not waste time, it enhances our appearance when speaking in public. Yes, because during a private speech we will often repeat the sentences we will say to improve our pronunciation. 5. Perhaps because we feel free to speak differently than in private speech, where we have to be careful about the use of words.
