AMENDMENTS.

§ 28. On December 1, 1907,'§'s 15, 16, and 17 of these By-laws were amehded so as to read as follows :

AMENDED § 15. The courses of instruction to be offered

by

the Nor- mal College shall be prescribed by .the Board of Trust;ees. These courses shall include:

l. College courses, open only to matriculates.

a. .A one-year course open to matriculates that meet the requirements for admission to the Seminary in German Language and. Literature.

This course shall lead to certification as Teacher of Physical Training for Gymnastic Societies.

~ A two-yeci'r course leading to the "title of Graduate in Gymnastics (G.G . .

c. A fhour-year course leading to the d gree of Bachelor pf Science in Gymnastics (B. S.-G.).

d. Graduate courses kading to the degree of Ma~er of\Science in Gymnastics (M. S. G.).

2. Elementary and special <:ourses.

a. An elementary one-year ~ouf'se, open ,to mate nonmatriculates that have attained a high degree $f proficiency in gymnastics ~ TurMr der zweiten oder der dritten .Stufe)~and meet such additional require- ments as may be prescribed, includin a satisfactory know.ledge of Ger- man. Students who complete this co rse, shall receive a certificate to the effect that they are qualified to teach ynmastics in schools maintained lxysocieties of the North American Gymnastic Union.

b,. Special courses in subjects taught during the college year. Per- sons desiring to attend the Normal College for special work in any. de- partment, may be admitt~d as special students by the dean of ~uch depart- menf if they give satisfactory evidence that they are qualified to pursue w1th profit the subjects they wish to' take. Special students shall rec'ei'll.e certificates that cover the work satisfactoril)" cornplel:M f>y them.

c. Summer courses. Special courses in the theory and practice of physical training, and in related subjects, open to persons that are quali- fied to pursue profitably the work chosen by them. Certificates shall be given for work satisfactorily completed.

AMENDED§ 16. (REQUIREMENTS FOR MATRICULATION.) The college

They must be persons of good moi:al character who are physically sound, well- forined, and not undersized, and whose physical. training enables them to derive the full benefit from the courses in gymnastics offered them. b.

They must have completed the four-year course of an American high school that requires the completion of an eight-year elementary course for admission to its first-year class; or they must have passed equivalent entrance examinations in approved high school subjects, including at least three years of high school English. c. They must meet such special and additional requirements as the Board of Trustees may prescribe .

!AMENDED § 17. The term graduate shall be restricted to persons that have been granted the title of Graduate in J:iymnastics or the degree of Bachelor or Master of Science in Gymnastiqs ; and said title and degrees shall be conferred only on those who fully meet the r¥rements for matriculation outlined in Amended § 16 of these By-laws.
