A panel of three experts in family/child discipleship evaluated the viability of the Baxter model of pastoral care and whether it can be effectively practiced with technological advances in communication. The focus I see here is on memory and repetition of the Bible story and Big Picture questions. The use of the Gospel Project, which is already a great use of technology and helps in.
Perhaps encourage the children to pray before remembering, watching videos, or. The weekly check-ins are great ways to build relationships and assess understanding of the lesson. If they just click the icons (I assume they do) that will be fun and engaging.
Not explicitly but it sounds like it is the case; especially if the curriculum does a good job of presenting the gospel and asking for response, and the dedicated coaches and children's pastor do the same in their encounters with students. Still curious about the shape of the material and the different roles of dedicated coaches and the children's pastor. While the ministry plan focuses on the key truths about the Bible story and Big Picture Questions, I would consider adding a question that applies this truth to the child's world, helping them develop the necessary skills to see the world through a Understanding scriptural lens.
Most ministry coaches would naturally lead from questions about the Bible story to pastoral care conversations; however, this is not explicitly stated in the plan. The child will be involved in Bible reading, prayer, memorizing Scripture, and more which will all lead to the third aspect of the model: spiritual growth.
