Praise be to Allah, the Almighty, the Most Merciful, with power, the researcher can complete the skripsi entitled "The effect of using posters towards students' writing skill of recount text in eighth-grade students at SMPN 5 Bintan".

Shalawat and salam are continuously poured out to the natural lord of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

The researcher would like to express her highest appreciation and deepest gratitude to her beloved parents, Azwaruddin and Hasni, who always provide prayers, energy, enthusiasm, finance, love, and attention. 7. Mr. Azwaruddin and Mrs. Hasni as the researcher's parents, Mr. Ardy Haswandi and Arie Heryawandi, are the researcher's brothers, and Mrs Yuli Wardayani is the researcher's sister. And last, the researcher's nephew Muhammad Ozil always supports her unconditionally.

9. Her lovely best friends Enita Sopia, Nurul Mulyana, and Rizka Putri always give their kindness and help her finish this research.
