ABSTRACT

The basic assumption on the study is that there is an effect of photograph on the tenth Graders’ Recount Text Writing at SMA Angkasa 1. This study was based on that most students at Class X Senior High School ANGKASA 1, Jakarta had some problems in writing. So that, the researcher used photograph as a teaching media to test whether there is an effect of photograph as a teaching media in writing recount text on the tenth graders’ recount text at SMA Angkasa 1. The finding shows that post-test mean score (53.87) was higher than mean scores of pre-test (50.89). It was also indicated that Sig. 2-tailed 0,037 ≤ 0.05. It means that the hypothesis was accepted. Based on the analysis of the data, it is concluded that there was increase difference between pre-test scores and post-test scores. Statistically, it was showed that teaching writing by using photograph improved students’ writing skills at Class X-MIA 1 of Senior High Scholl 1, Jakarta.

ABSTRAK

Asumsi dasar dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa ada pengaruh foto dalam menulis teks recount siswa kelas X di SMA Angkasa 1. Penelitian ini didasarkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa di Kelas X SMA Angkasa 1, Jakarta memiliki beberapa masalah dalam menulis . Oleh karena itu, peneliti menggunakan foto sebagai media ajar untuk menguji apakah ada pengaruh foto sebagai media ajar dalam menulis teks recount pada teks recount siswa kelas sepuluh di SMA Angkasa 1. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata post-test ( 53.87) lebih tinggi dari skor rata-rata pre-test (50.89).

Itu juga menunjukkan bahwa Sig. 2-tailed 0,037 ≤ 0,05. Itu berarti hipotesis diterima.

Berdasarkan analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan perbedaan antara nilai pre-test dan skor post-test. Secara statistik, itu menunjukkan bahwa mengajar menulis dengan menggunakan foto meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa di Kelas X- MIA 1 SMA 1, Jakarta.
