The aim of the study is to find out the effect of using photos as a media and guide questioning technique on writing skills in the tenth graders of SMAN 2 Sekampung East Lampung.
Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Sekampung Lampung Timur sebanyak 35 siswa kelas X-2. Hal ini berarti bahwa media gambar dan teknik tuntunan memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis, khususnya pada siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Sekampung Lampung Timur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan gambar sebagai alat bantu dan teknik pertanyaan penuntun terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Sekampung Lampung Timur.

In this study, the researcher chose SMAN 2 Sekampung as the location because the researcher found writing problems at that school. In this stage, the researcher conducts interviews with teacher and student related to writing problems. Based on the survey in SMAN 2 Sekampung, the researcher finds some students have problems in learning English, especially in the tenth grade students, such as they still have a low ability to write the ability of narrative text. They were also confused about what to write.
A written assessment of students' narrative writing ability in ten graders in SMAN 2 Sekampung East Lampung. Researchers find that the quality of English teaching in writing skills is still low, especially in narrative text, and students still feel difficult when learning about narrative text in writing. Based on the above background of the problem, the researcher would like to limit the problem such as point number four that students have difficulty in writing narrative text.
Based on the above background, the researcher would like to formulate the problem as follows: "Is there any positive and significant effect of using photography as a medium and leading question technique on the writing ability of tenth graders of SMAN 2 Sekampung". The researcher can use this research as a condition for completing an undergraduate thesis on her campus.

One of the goals of learning English in high school is to develop communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Editing as part of the writing process should be done first by the author and then again by a colleague or adult, using appropriate editing marks. And all score of criteria can be the total score of students' narrative writing skills.

The independent variable in this research is The Effect of use Photograph as a Media and Guide Question Technique by Tenth Graders of SMAN 2 Sekampung East Lampung. Photo As a Media (X1) and Guide question (X2) technique can be defined with the writing technique to give the way and knowledge for students in narrative writing ability. Dependent variable in this research is Writing Ability in Tenth Graders of SMAN 2 Sekampung East Lampung.
In this study, the researcher selected a class of tenth graders of SMAN 2 Sekampung as a sample consisting of 32 students. This sampling technique is used to know the effectiveness of using photography as a media and guiding question to develop writing skills in narrative text. The post-test is held to know the students' writing ability in narrative text after teaching photography and guide questions.

Based on the above score of pre-test narrative writing ability, the highest score is 87 and the lowest score is 55. After the writer collected the data through test, documentation, observation, he analyzed the data through t-test analysis in order to determine whether there is an effect of the teacher's professional competence on learner's English learning outcome of SMAN 2 Sekampung 10th graders.

The writer formulated an alternative hypothesis (Ha) such as: "There is a positive and significant effect of using photography as a medium and leading question technique on the writing ability of tenth graders of SMAN 2 Sekampung East Lampung". This means that there was a positive and significant effect of using photography as a medium and leading question technique on the writing ability of tenth graders of SMAN 2 Sekampung East Lampung.
It showed that photography as a medium and leading question technique has a positive effect on writing ability. This researcher prevailed in the tenth graders of SMAN 2 Sekampung East Lampung in the academic year 2020/2021. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test learning process, the researcher would like to describe the conclusion that photography as a medium and leading question technique affect the writing ability of tenth graders of SMAN 2 Sekampung East Lampung.

The researcher performed a pre-test during the first research meeting to find out the initial differences between the groups with a similar level. After analyzing the student's weakness and understanding in writing narrative texts, the writer carried out the treatment to help the student understand the narrative writing ability. The writer asked the student about the difficulties in narrative writing and explained more about narrative writing by using photo as a media and guide question until the student understood.
After the student in this class received the treatment and understood them, the author further administered the post-test to measure their knowledge of narrative writing ability. To know the level of students' writing ability, the author determines the minimum passing grade (MPG) in that school. If the value obtained by the student is below the KKM, then the student is declared incomplete and if the student has achieved more than or equal to KKM, the student is declared complete.
Hyphotesis Testing
To know the critical value of t-test (ttable), the writer first counted df, df is degree of freedom. After examining the t-test table using df 34, the researcher did not find it in the table. This is evident from the results of the pre-test and post-test of the students.
If t observed > t table, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected - If t observed < t table, Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted.

Siswa mendengarkan dan membaca banyak pernyataan dan pertanyaan tentang tindakan/kegiatan/peristiwa yang akan, sedang dan dulu. Siswa mengikuti interaksi untuk menyatakan dan bertanya tentang tindakan/kegiatan/peristiwa yang akan terjadi selama proses, sedang dilakukan/terjadi di masa yang akan datang. Siswa menirukan contoh pernyataan dan pertanyaan tentang tindakan/kegiatan/peristiwa yang akan, sedang dan dulu.
Dengan bimbingan dan arahan guru, siswa mengidentifikasi ciri-ciri pernyataan dan pernyataan tentang tindakan/kegiatan/peristiwa yang akan, sedang, dan telah terjadi. Siswa menyatakan dan mengajukan pertanyaan dalam bahasa Inggris sehubungan dengan pembekalan dan kegiatan terstruktur lainnya. Siswa membandingkan ungkapan tentang tindakan/peristiwa yang akan terjadi di masa depan yang telah dipelajari dengan ungkapan lain.
Siswa membandingkan pernyataan dan pertanyaan tentang tindakan/kegiatan/peristiwa yang akan, sedang dan dulu. Siswa belajar membaca cepat untuk mendapatkan gambaran umum cerpen melalui proses skimming, scanning, dan inferring untuk mendapatkan informasi tertentu.
Pertanyaan Dengan bimbingan dan arahan guru, siswa mengajukan pertanyaan antara lain tentang perbedaan cerpen bahasa Inggris, perbedaan cerpen bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia, dsb. Analisis fungsi sosial, struktur teks dan unsur kebahasaan teks naratif lisan dan tulis berbentuk cerpen, sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya. Mengungkapkan makna dalam teks narrative berbentuk cerpen, lisan dan tulis secara akurat dan lancar untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar.
CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTIONS
Conclusion
Teaching narrative writing needed proper technique to make it successful. Therefore, the teacher should be able to choose the right technique and be creative to encourage the students to understand their narrative writing skills by using the right technique.
