In order to get an information about the students' pronunciation ability, on December 3, 2018, the researcher conducted a pre-test for the tenth grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah Sekampung, East Lampung. The researcher wanted to try to use Google Assistant as AI (artificial intelligence) for students' pronunciation.

Ha: There is a positive and significant impact of the use of Google Assistant on the pronunciation ability of the tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah Sekampung East Lampung in the academic year 2019/2020. This research observed the pronunciation ability of students in the tenth grade of SMK Muhammadiyah Sekampung. In other words, the use of Google Assistant has had an impact on the pronunciation ability of students in the tenth grade of SMK Muhammadiyah Sekampung East Lampung.

It means that there was a positive and significant impact of using the Google Assistant on the students'.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research Design

This research used an experimental research method to know the influence of using Google Assistant on students' pronunciation ability. The first class as an experimental group has received the special treatments which was to use Google Assistant to learn pronunciation. Based on the above design, the researcher would like to know whether there is an influence or not by using Google Assistant to learn pronunciation in the experimental group.

The treatment was delivered three times to students who became an experimental group in three different lesson plans by Google Assistant. The researcher wanted to know if there are differences between the experimental group he used. Google Assistant in pronunciation learning and the control group not using Google Assistant.

This research aimed to investigate whether there is a positive and significant impact of using Google Assistant on the pronunciation ability of tenth grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah Sekampung East Lampung.

The researcher took two classes, Class X TKJ 2 as an experimental group consisting of 20 students and Class X TKJ 4 as a control group consisting of 20 students.

The experimental group and control group were given oral tests, both in pre-test and post-test.

The purpose of pre-testing the students was to help the researcher get to know the student's pronunciation ability before they were treated using Google Assistant to brush up on theirs. A post-test was administered to determine the pronunciation ability of the students after the treatment. This means that the treatment through Google Assistant successfully affected the students' pronunciation ability.

Ho: In the academic year 2019/2020, the use of Google Assistant did not have a positive and significant effect on the pronunciation ability of the tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah Sekampung East Lampung. Generally, before conducting the research, the researcher conducted a pre-test to determine the prior knowledge of the students' pronunciation ability before the treatment. The researcher hypothesized that learning pronunciation using Google Assistant could help students improve their pronunciation more easily.

Google Assistant successfully helped the tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah Sekampung East Lampung to brush up their pronunciation.

RESULT OF THE RESEARCH

SMK Muhammadiyah Sekampung was established on 5 April 2010 and is registered with the Indonesian Department of Education with the school statistical number. Samsudin Subroto, S.Pd, M.Pd was the founder and also becomes the first headmaster at SMK Muhammadiyah Sekampung. Once the students took the pre-test and the students in the experimental class received a series of treatments using Google Assistant, the researcher conducted the post-test.

The post-test instrument was different from the pre-test, but still has the same pattern and level of difficulty. Based on the frequency distribution, it could be seen that there was no significant difference between the pre-test and the post-test in the control class. Additionally, before conducting the post-test in the experimental classroom, the researcher was given treatments using Google Assistant.

The frequency distribution showed that the students who achieved a score above 60 were 7 students (35% of them).

Discussion

Therefore, it would make it easier for them to practice pronunciation by directly listening to the native voice. Students would be able to speak directly with the virtual assistant to learn how to pronounce English words. It would have become one of the solutions for students to solve their problems that were difficulties in pronouncing words or vocabulary.

Moreover, according to Supiandi, he stated in his diary that in this modern era we can have a virtual assistant who can be our interlocutor. It could be like the Iron Man movie when Tony Stark talks to his virtual assistant Jarvis. So that the students no longer have to be shy, know that they can do it.

In conclusion, based on the above discussion, the researcher concluded that using Google Assistant could be the solution for the students to encourage and help them to learn the pronunciation.

Limitation

In conclusion, based on the above discussion, the researcher concluded that the use of Google Assistant could be a solution for students to encourage and help them learn pronunciation. the student's pronunciation ability was successful. Based on the results of the research conducted, the researcher can conclude that the use of Google Assistant had a positive and significant impact. With the result, it could be found that there are significant differences between the pronunciation score from the experimental class and the control class, where the post-test score of the experimental class was higher.

We can find that the average score of the control class is 39.5, and that of the experimental class is 60. We suggest the teacher to use Google Assistant to help the students understand how the English word should be pronounced. We suggest that students are more encouraged to learn English, especially to practice pronunciation.

The principal in supervising the English teacher to take advantage of the technology to help the students learn English, so that the students can be more excited to learn English.
