Discussion

The data is based on two tests; it is cycle I, cycle II and the observation result of the students' presence activity in teaching and learning process. At the first meeting in cycle I, the researcher gave material to students under the title Watch movie. In the first activity, the researcher explains the general description of the strategy that can be used and then gives the text to the students.

During the teaching learning process, some students were confused to answer the question and draw conclusions because they still had strange and low vocabulary skills. This can be seen from the reaction of the students, they have low enthusiasm in learning. They get achievements that fall short of the target, and then the researcher gives them motivation.

During the second meeting, the researcher gave the students new material entitled A beautiful day in Jogja. Here some students are more active than during the first meeting. It indicates that the result of cycle II is higher than that of cycle I, and it can be concluded that the use of this strategy is a success. After conducting the D-Test, the researcher found that the reading skills of the students of the first grade students of MTs Almurahamah Bannyorang were poor and should therefore be improved.

Based on the results from the cycles in which the students improved their literal comprehension in the D-test, cycle I and cycle II, the average score of the students in the reading comprehension used in the inquiry learning method in the D-test was 5.2, in I. cycle 6.3 and 8.4 in cycle II. Based on the findings, the inquiry learning method helps students find the main idea and supporting details in reading comprehension.
