Wavelength shift has been explained as suggested.
“This maximum absorption shifted to a longer wavelength of 398 nm. Red-shift happened due to the interaction of particle, the position shift of a peak to longer wavelength or lower energy as a bathochromic shift. The peak position of the surface plasmon resonance depends on many factors, like particle size, dispersion medium, shape and surface chemistry of particle[16]–[18].”
