Industrial Supervisor” refers to an industrial practitioner appointed by the University to supervise graduate students. Master's Project” refers to the written report on the research work as part of the Master's degree program from the Course Learned.
Postgraduate studies/programs” refers to the level of study, such as a doctoral, master's or postgraduate degree. Senate” refers to the UTeM Senate, the highest academic authority within the university. Study Period” refers to a period of time within which a student is expected to complete the program.
Supervisor” refers to an academic member of the University appointed by the University to supervise graduate students. Termination” refers to the dismissal of a student for reasons other than academic reasons as deemed appropriate by the Senate. Thesis” refers to the written report on an original research work done for a research mode graduation requirement.
Viva-voce refers to an oral exam for a student who has submitted his/her thesis.

UTeM Postgraduate Academic Regulations 27 4.4.3 Whereas, a Master's or PhD student who changes the mode of registration from part-time to full-time will have the remaining semester based on the following table. If he/she fails the subject in his/her second attempt, he/she will be dismissed from the programme. Failure to do so will result in the recording of the grade "FA" (Failed Audit) on the student's transcript for the audited course.
A student is expected to pay full fees based on the credit taken upon re-registration of the subject in the other semester.

The field supervisor is an employee of the organization where the student conducts his research. UTeM Postgraduate Academic Regulations To guide and guide the student in proposing and preparing his research work, indicating areas in the research that require modification, correction and revision, and to propose the necessary changes required to ensure quality of research work. Such an application must be made no later than six (6) months for Master and twelve (12) months for Doctoral, after the appointment of the first supervisor.
This requirement can be fulfilled within or outside the University, depending on the availability of vacancies and the relevance of the available position to the student's area of specialization. Such an application must be addressed to the faculty, accompanied by a written consent from an authorized officer of the proposed organization. The faculty may also request the student's supervisor in the organization to submit a report on the student's performance during the industrial attachment.
On the basis of these reports, the faculty gives the student the grade 'Passed (HL)' or 'Failed (HG)'. All research reports, regardless of the language in which they are written, must have an abstract in both English and Bahasa Melayu. However, he/she is not precluded from incorporating any part of such works, provided that the part of the work that has been incorporated is clearly acknowledged.
UTeM Postgraduate Academic Regulations 41 7.5.5 A candidate is not permitted to resubmit a thesis previously presented at UTeM or another university, but he/she may reproduce parts of his/her previous work, provided that this is clearly referred to. Following such notification, the JKPSF will recommend to the JKTSPS the appointment of examiners for the thesis. In addition, it must be expressly indicated that the research work has not yet been approved by the university authorities in fulfillment of the requirements for a postgraduate diploma.
UTeM Postgraduate Academic Regulations For five (5) nominated publications, the candidate must have .. i) introductory chapter, literature review, research methodology (where applicable), discussion and conclusion explaining the importance of the contributions. ii) annex of scientific published works; . iii) recognition of co-authors and verification of originality. Each published work must begin with a clear statement of each author's contribution to any joint published work; . iv) a summary of the main findings of each of the published works.

To qualify for the final exam, an attendance of more than 80% is required. A student who obtains a CGPA between 2.70 and 3.00 hours will be allowed, but subject to the approval of the Dean of Faculty. A student who has completed a course may register for his/her master's project/project paper with faculty approval, provided the student is within the maximum study period.

The academic status achieved is “KG” and the student will be removed from the program. The progress report result is assigned the status of Satisfactory (MM), Unsatisfactory (TM) or Failed (GG), as shown in Table 9.1. A student will be removed from the program if he/she earns “KS” for two (2) consecutive semesters.
The dissertation will be examined by an Examination Panel (EP) and an Oral Examination Panel (OEP). The oral examination panel (OEP) is composed of PEs and is chaired by the dean of the faculty or by a chair appointed by the dean of the faculty. Students will be allowed to redeem the grade (UG) of the same subject only once during the period of studies.
The better grade between the two will be used for GPA and CGPA calculations. A student must complete the remaining course requirements within the first four (4) weeks of the following semester. If a student's CGPA falls below 2.70, he/she will be expelled from the program.
A student's academic status (KB, KS, or KG) in the program will be determined only upon completion of the first nine (9) credit hours (for the full-time student) or six (6) credit hours (for the full-time student). part time). in the program. The report should recommend the thesis under one of the following categories: ii) Passed with minor revision (iii).
