Vlog is a video that is posted online and cover a variety of topics, including learning, amusement, and difficulties,. Students in this instance use Vlog to enjoy their education just as much as they enjoy viewing video blogs.

Additionally, by choosing engaging information, students can watch and learn as they please. The aim of this research are to find out students strategies and their perceptions of using native English vlog as media in learning pronunciation.

This research used descriptive qualitative research. The participants of this research are three students of seventh grade from the same junior high school SMPN 23 in Banjarmasin, Indonesia. The data was collected by interviewed the students.

The result of this research shows (1) The student strategies in learning pronunciation used native English vlog was memory, cognitive, metacognitive and affective strategies. (2) The student perception on using Native English Vlog as media in learning pronunciation was mostly positive because it has impact how they pronounce phrases using the appropriate intonation and emphasis. It can be concluded that the students when learning pronunciation through native English vlog used three strategies, these are memory, cognitive, and affective while their perceptions was mostly positive than the negative one.

Vlog adalah video yang diposting online dan mencakup berbagai topik, termasuk pembelajaran, hiburan, dan kesulitan. Siswa dalam hal ini menggunakan Vlog untuk menikmati pendidikan mereka seperti halnya mereka menikmati melihat blog video. Sebagai tambahan, dengan memilih informasi yang menark, siswa dapat menonton dan belajar sesuka mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi siswa dan persepsi mereka tentang penggunaan vlog penduduk asli bahasa Inggris sebagai media dalam pembelajaran pengucapan.

Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah tiga siswa kelas tujuh dari SMP yang sama di Banjarmasin, Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mewawancarai siswa.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) Strategi siswa dalam pembelajaran pengucapan menggunakan vlog bahasa Inggris asli adalah strategi memori, kognitif, metakognitif dan afektif. (2) Persepsi siswa tentang penggunaan Native English Vlog sebagai media dalam pembelajaran pengucapan sebagian besar positif karena berdampak pada cara mereka mengucapkan frasa dengan intonasi dan penekanan yang tepat. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa ketika belajar pengucapan melalui vlog bahasa Inggris asli menggunakan tiga strategi, yaitu memori, kognitif, dan afektif sedangkan persepsi mereka sebagian besar positif daripada yang negatif.
