St. Joseph Mich. July 15, 1908 Professor Chas. F. Binns Alfred

Dear Friend,

A letter from Astoria came in this a. m. I thank you for your (?) me. I am not competent to fill the place so I sent the letter to Turnbull which now I hope you will affirm. Turnbull needs latitude and could get it out there in the West.

I am invited to locate with the United States Encaustic Tile Works of Indiananapolis as soon as I can dispose of my plaster work at Bloomingdale and think favorable of the prospect of that plant. I also had a chance at Nashville with the Harley Pottery.

This points well to ceramics for in these panic times not all men are able to locate at all.

Best wishes to your family Yours very truly
