ABSTRACT
Nuni Ayu Ningsih. 2013. : Improving the Students Speaking Skill Through Talking chips method (A Classroom Action Research at The First Years Students of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar).

This research aims to find out the increase of students’ Speaking Skill through Talking Chips Method at The ferst years students’ of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar.
The research used class Action Research (CAR). The researcher hand conducted two cycles, where each cycle consistet of four metting. The number of the research was 38 students’
in class X.4. The researcher got the infor mation from the students’ answer on speaking test in the from of D-test, test of cycle I and test of cycle II.
The mean score of the students’ speaking skill cycle I 51.49. But the result was not significant from the result which was expected according to the beckground namely 70, so the research was continued to the cycle II was 71.42. Having analized the data, it can be stated that the students’ speaking accuracy at the first years students’ of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar was low level before the test in the first cycle and in high level after the test in the second cycle.
