It is believed that the net income (profit) of farm operators in 1961 will be one billion dollars higher than the $11.7 billion received in 1960. Average hog prices should be slightly lower than in 1961. Some recovery in lamb prices seems likely . Poultry and Eggs - Egg production is expected to be slightly above the 170 million cases projected in 1961.
Cotton — Exports are expected to be about one million bales less than in 1960-61, carrying over to August.
MARKETING SPREAD AND FARM VALUE OF MARKET BASKET
Livestock and meat — Record output is expected, accompanied by a slight increase in the amount each person eats. There is a prospect of a higher production of beef and pork, with the production of lamb and mutton expected to decrease. As a result, Government (CommodityCredit Corporation) purchases are likely to exceed the large purchases of 1961, possibly approaching the high levels of 1953 and 1934.
Production in 1961 is expected to be at least 12 percent greater than the billion birds raised in 1960. By participating in the feed grain program, farmers have reduced acreage by 16 percent—most K in corn and sorghum. Prices are likely to average slightly higher depending on CCC sales under the feed grain program, increases in 1961 price supports, lower production and the potential for more.
Wheat — Total supply for the 1961-62 crop year is estimated at 2.6 billion bushels, down slightly from the record high of 1960-61. The July 1 carryover is expected to be about 1.4 billion bushels, representing the first draw in stocks since 1958. Fruit - Fresh and processed fruit supplies are moderately higher than last year, and most classes are expected to have increased in 1962 .
Market costs of food products are expected to increase by about 2 percent this year, continuing a long-term upward trend that began during World War II. Retail costs are expected to rise slightly again, but farm values are expected to decline slightly.

Take a few pellets of "Dybar" - a tablespoon or so - and spread them on the base of the brush or pile brush.
This way, you will kill him the best, in the easiest way possible, slowly but surely. The chemical will be carried by moisture to the root area of the brush to do the job thoroughly. Wherever brush is a problem - along fence lines, ditches, in pastures (east of the Rocky Mountains.) and other non-cultivated areas - "Dybar" clears the soil and keeps it clean. Next time, let "Dybar" do it.

34;After receiving Armour's Soil Sample Report, I followed recommendations and applied Vertagreen 5-10-10. corn. The corn fertilized with Vertagreen grew to a height of 15 feet and averaged more than 20 tons of silage per acre. The average yield of silage in this area is 12 tonnes per acre. 34;Calculating silage at about $10.00 per ton for food value and the Verta-green 5-10-10ata costs about $1.50 per hectare more than competing fertilizers, the Vertagreen corn increased me. Maphis Godfrey and thousands of other experienced farmers in the home of Vertagreenferti- izers know that it is not a little foliar fertilizer cost, but how much it counts.

But no matter what fills the rest of the evening, every Future Farmer should make sure at least two people have a good time - his parents. 34;The best way to invest $25,000 of additional spending in my home state would be to treat all small grain seed with a good seed treatment," says Danny Lamb, Swains-boro, Ga., winner of the 1960 Georgia Crop Improvement Project Award .
