Bottom right: This small pond, used for nature study and recreation, is one of the main attractions. Recently, the White River Soil and Water Conservation District honored the group's efforts with its annual beautification award for seeding and landscape improvements at the entrance to Mt. You will understand all this for yourself one day and realize that your wisdom and good judgment exercised most of the time.
He has flaws, of course, because everyone has them and he's only human; but he is truly the salt of the earth. Usually two or more national officers will participate in these workshops. The basis is to provide state officers with the necessary tools April-May 1968. The workshops provide an opportunity for state officials to develop a better understanding of the national agricultural vocational education program and of the interrelationships between the countries.
Officers who attend such a seminar develop a broader knowledge of FFA and a more positive attitude toward their skills. Inspiration from working with national officers as well as the flag raising ceremony and dinner programs have become important by-products of the seminars.

THE job order DESCRIPTION at right is just one example of employment available to young men with agricultural training and a desire to build a career on the farm. The former manager, a young college graduate, left to take a position managing an 800-head, 800-acre feeder cattle operation. We worked on this order for several weeks, contacting other offices in the state and explaining the operation to all possible qualified applicants.
In another case earlier this year, retirement forced an efficient, well-known farmer to sell his entire business to his son, Joe, a soft drink executive. Joe was interested in finding a young man to form a partnership; to divide cattle, machinery, income and expenses on a fifty-five basis. Again, the opportunity called for a young man who wanted to farm but could not afford the investment required for a modern and efficient business needed to maintain a comfortable life today.

THE LEGEND
HOME RUN
Like all other aspects of today's business world, agriculture finds itself in a constantly changing environment. To take advantage of the benefits. possible by these changes, it is necessary to first recognize and understand them. In fact, the coming years will see a continued shift from an emphasis on labor to an emphasis on capital in the United States. There will also be a decrease in the number of individually owned farms. However, while spending has increased every year, the level of the agricultural commodity price index is almost unchanged.
Today's young farmer may therefore do well to change his perceptions of his future in agriculture in light of this fact. In the latter process, capital generated by issuing shares can be used as equity capital to obtain necessary loans. To say that agriculture is and will continue to be an integral part of the American economy is an understatement.
Agriculture can prosper in the coming years. if people involved in agribusiness are imaginative and efficient. Representatives of important ranches in the country tell how efficiently they did their work.

For example, all eggs are stored in a cold room and refrigerated trucks are used to deliver the eggs. Refrigeration preserves the eggs' freshness, Robert pointed out. The egg lighting process at the Moorefield farm uses Robert and his vocational agricultural instructor, Mr. As another measure to ensure egg quality, all eggs are illuminated through a modern process so that no substandard eggs slip into a shipment.
The disease, usually a problem when young chickens and chicks are housed in the same area, is controlled at Moorefield Farm by spraying and cleaning the houses between each flock. The Moorefields buy their feed directly from the mill about 200 miles away and use their bulk truck to haul it to the farm. Since Robert enrolled in professional farming five and a half years ago, he has remodeled one chicken house, repaired another, and installed cages in the same house.

IF you are one of those farmers looking for a new source of income, you might want to try fish farming. Even if you feel that this type of production has no place in your operation, the topic of fish farming seems to be of interest to most everyone who has wormed out of the endofakanepole. Commercial fish farming requires a more serious approach and brings significant income to farmers in the country.
He says that while Cross County is not one of the top producing counties in the state, it may be representative of the interest current producers and others are showing in this type of agriculture. The most important food fish produced in the province is the channel catfish, which accounts for 75 to 80 percent of total production. Some buffalo, crappie and bass are produced. Prices for the raw fish average about 40 cents per pound for catfish, 15 cents per pound for buffalo, 40 cents for crappie and about 50 cents for bass.
Most of the fish are sold at the farm to buyers who process them and sell them in fresh markets. Most producers say that fish farming fits well with their other farming activities, which are mostly soybean and rice farming.

Three of them have only one year of experience in this type of farming. Arkansas' average gross income per acre from catfish is about $450, and average net income is about $150 per acre. Fish producers in Cross County reported that some of their major problems were water oxygen control, disease, water quality, lack of technical information, and one farmer reported a lack of available markets.

However, there are situations where the movement is ahead of the chapter and there is a need to delay action on the movement. Motions to table and take from the table require a second, majority vote, cannot be debated or amended, and cannot be acted upon. A proposal that has been filed cannot be taken off the table until the deal is done. This can go beyond the same meeting or a later date.
When a member wishes to move a motion to be taken from the table, he must obtain the floor and state: "I move that the motion ... be taken from the table.". When the second is offered, the Speaker may declare: "It has been moved and seconded, that we take the motion from the table. Those seconding the motion say yea. Those opposed say nay. Yea (or nay) have it, and the motion is transferred (or lost)."
