Powderville is barely a speck on the map of Montana, and it's difficult to find in the thousands of square miles of sparsely populated area south and east of the area's largest city, MilesCity. Miles City Chapter members seemed to monopolize the presidency of the Montana Association ofFFA. I think this period helped shape my personal view of his life.
Personal appearance and dress "sharpness" were the order of the day. A large chisel has already been set up, and as the dust cloud approaches, the farmer digs a furrow along the path of the prevailing wind, turning to erecting large wet piles as an emergency measure to prevent erosion.

The waterfowl project will involve more than 450 Future Farmers and 2,000 members of local sportsmen and conservation clubs who will help finance the purchase of the ducklings and feed. Three-man committee consisting of one representative each from the Minnesota Conservation Department's Division of Wildlife. Ducklings will be raised by the FFA members until they are four weeks old, and then released into a favorable habitat.
The resulting day-old ducklings will be distributed to local FFA chapters that have special permits to cover the handling and release of the mallards. Organizations that have offered their support include sportsmen's and conservation clubs: Junior and Senior Chambers of Commerce: service organizations: and professional, civic, business and fraternal organizations.
