IMPROVING STUDENTS' SPEAKING PERFORMANCE USING FITURA SERIES IN SVENT CLASSROOM AT MTS N 1 EAST LAMPUNG. IMPROVING STUDENTS' SPEAKING PERFORMANCE BY THE WIN SERIES USED IN MTS GRADE SEVEN. This research aimed to know the level of speaking ability and find the improvement of speaking performance using MT picture series.

The result of this research shows that picture sequences can be used as media as a teaching technique of speaking. Based on the result above, it can be said that picture sequences can improve speaking ability. N 1 Lampung Timur, research work kelas ini dengan subjek research work ini adalah siswa ke VII E di MTs.

Subyek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa dari kelas tersebut. Dalam pengumpulan data peneliti menggunakan tes (pre-test, post-test 1 dan post-test 2), observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rangkaian gambar sebagai media dapat digunakan sebagai kegiatan edukasi dalam berbicara.

To know the achievement score of the students, the researcher has conducted the pre-survey on 30th November 2016 in MTs. It can be seen that the students scored less than the passes are 20 students with a percentage of 62.5%. That is more than the students who get the score up to pass, 12 students with a percentage of 37.5%.

Based on the above problem, the researcher is interested in doing classroom action research that focused on improving students' speaking performance by using picture series among the seventh grade of MTs. From the problem identifications above, the researcher will focus on and students' difficulty in expressing their idea when speaking in English and Students have difficulty in speaking performance and pronouncing English words because students have less confidence when speaking in English. The researcher will use “Improving students' speaking performance by using picture series among the seventh grade of MTs.

In this research, the researcher formulates the problems: "Can you use the picture series to improve students' speaking performance among the seventh grade like MTs N 1 East Lampung"?". The students can explore their ideas when they speak and can improve their speaking in front of the class.

Action Hypothesis

Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the technique of incomplete picture sets has been proven to improve not only students. In addition, it is suggested that future researchers conduct a similar study using the incomplete picture series technique on different environments and subjects to determine whether this technique is also effective and useful for improving students' speaking ability. Since it is useful not only in improving students' speaking skills, but also in students' involvement in the learning process, it is recommended that students use this technique as a learning strategy to practice their speaking skills and even more so to practice their writing skills.

There are seventh graders of seventh graders, and the total number of students is 227. The researcher used the observation as a data collection method to know the conditions of the students in the learning process. This research used classroom action research, which aimed to improve student activity and research outcome in MTs N 1 East Lampung, before the researcher did the pre-test first.

The researcher asks the students to make a dialogue and perform a speech in front of the class using a series of pictures. In the post-test 1, only 6 students got a good score, but the students' test score was better than the pre-treatment students' test. Based on the results of the students in the first cycle, the researcher and colleague concluded that the problem lies in the fact that some students are not self-confident.

Comparison of the average grade of students in pre-exam, post-exam cycle I and after exam cycle II. So, this means that there was a significant improvement in the grades of students from I. and II. From the results of the students' test, it can be seen that the result of the test in the 2nd cycle was higher than the previous test and the test in the 1st cycle. This research is recommended for further research on the development of students' speaking performance.

Based on the research that was carried out in two cycles, the result of the assessment of VII E students was achieved using speech performance and the use of picture series in cycle I and cycle II. Based on the results of the research, it showed that the action hypothesis is proven in the sense that using a series of pictures can improve students' speaking performance by using a series of pictures. A series of pictures as a medium that the teacher can use in teaching the learning process where students speak well and become confident.

Based on the above explanation, it could be concluded that image sequences as media could improve the students' outcome and also the students' activity in the learning process of speaking performance through the use of image sequences. The discussion itself showed and also proved that this is why the implementation of the . students speak performance based on image series with the seven graders of MTs. Considering all the data collected in the classroom action research, the researcher made some conclusions about the study and some suggestions in the research result.

Students are more active and have better confidence to speak and explore their speaking performance. Students should be active in learning processes, especially in English subjects and should cooperate with each other either with friends or teacher, especially in sharing their idea, experience and knowledge.
