ABSTRACK
Negara Indonesia dikenal sebagai produsen minyak atsiri yang cukup potensial di mata dunia, minyak atsiri dikenal dengan nama minyak., pada umumnya separator adalah alat pemisah minyak hasil destilasi yang sistem kerjanya menggunakan pronsip bejana berhubungan dan grafitasi bumi, ukuran separator tinggi 25 cm diameter 30 cm, kapasitas maksimum 0.017662 , material yang digunakan stainless steel 304. Didapatkan hasil selama 4 kali pengujian dengan waktu 4 jam setiap pengujian, keseluruhan kuantitas minyak yang dipisahkan melalui separator adalah 0.002322 dan air yang terpisah sebanyak 0.097 , rendemen minyak serai wangi bervariasi tergantung dari lamanya penyulingan, rendemen terendah dapat dilihat pada waktu pengujian 1 jam baik pada tekanan boiler 1 (bar) dan 2 (bar). Rendemen merupakan perbandingan jumlah kuantitas minyak yang dihasilkan, semangkin tinggi rendemen yang dihasilkan maka semangkin besar minyak atsiri yang dihasilkan (Rochim, 2009).

ABSTRACT
The state of Indonesia is known as a producer of essential oils with potential in the eyes of the world, essential oils are known as oil. In general, the separator is an oil separator resulting from distillation whose working system uses the principle of a connected vessel and the earth's gravity, the size of the separator is 25 cm high and 30 cm in diameter, the maximum capacity is 0.017662 , the material used is stainless steel 304. The results were obtained for 4 times of testing with a time of 4 hours each test, the overall quantity of oil separated through the separator was 0.002322 and separated water was 0.097 , The yield of citronella oil varies depending on the duration of distillation, the lowest yield can be seen at the 1 hour test time both at boiler pressure 1 (bar) and 2 (bar). Yield is a comparison of the quantity of oil produced, the higher the yield, the greater the essential oil produced (Rochim, 2009).
