The academic reading process of previewing, active reading, summarizing and reviewing can be done while reading online materials.7 Online reading has been used by the growth of this century and by the use of it – the researcher. The purpose of this research is to know students' perception of online reading material on scholology.

In order to obtain data on the students' perception of online reading material on scholology, the researcher collected the data through the questionnaire and the telephone interview. The formulation of the research problem is how students perceive online reading material on scholology. In this research, the researcher used the triangulation technique to check the validity of the data.

The researcher reviewed the data of the students' perceptions regarding online reading material on scholology. Chapter II, In this chapter the researcher will explain the data display and the findings of the research. Chapter IV, In this chapter the researcher will provide the conclusion of the research and the proposal of the research.

INTRODUCTION

Background of Research

A learning management system (LMS) is a software application for administering, documenting, tracking, reporting, and presenting educational courses. The learning management system is designed to identify training and learning gaps, use analytical data and reports. The dimension of the learning management system depends on the services offered to the students of online learning, online assessment and learning collaboration.

Ayub et al., "Factors influencing students' use of a learning management system portal: a perspective of higher education students," International Journal of Education and Information Technologies, Vol. Based on the researcher's preliminary study, the teaching and learning process in the English Educational study program of UIN Mataram is bundled with an online platform such as Edmodo, Google Classroom and Schoology.

The Statement of Problem

34; Tenth grade students' perception of developed online reading materials through school" (Surabaya, Thesis, Widya Mandala Catholic University, 2020) p.1. The researchers use the descriptive method to explore students' perceptions of online reading material about school. Data were tallied and classified as whether students agreed or disagreed about their perceptions of online reading materials about school.

According to the above 3 questions, students enjoy online reading materials, while the light screen becomes the worst effect. While this study also agreed that online reading materials on Schoology make students more interested in reading. In this research, the researcher found that the questionnaires showed a positive response due to the reading efficiency using online reading materials in Schoology.

The majority of the students do not face any significant problem in online reading material on scholology. The findings of the study indicate that students respond positively to online reading material on schoology. Students agreed that online reading material on scholology is a good LBS as it is easy to use and increased learning achievement.

  • Setting

This research will be conducted in the English Language Education Study Program of UIN Mataram. This university is selected by looking at the learning process related to research.

Review of Previous Research

The results of the study showed that most of the participants felt that the use of Edmod or Quipper in teaching and learning English was effective and efficient in terms of time. Although slow internet is considered one of the difficulties in using Edmod and Quipper, most participants agreed that online learning platforms can help them practice language skills, acquire new vocabulary and improve their understanding of lesson content. .9. The participants of the study were 65 English teachers selected from all the students of the English Education Department of Universitas Kristen Indonesia in the academic year, and the sample was 65 participants.

From some descriptions of the above literature review, it appears that there are some similarities between previous research and current research. Three of the relevant studies used the mixed method, while the current study used descriptive qualitative.

  • Reading Comprehension

They preferred to read digital texts because they were motivating, interesting and fit their expected way of reading. According to Angell i Sari, perception is people's conscious sense of the way they think about the environment. It is important because it will influence people's perceptions and determine what they perceive and do.14.

Schoology is one example of a learning management system that is widely used in education, especially in Indonesia. Schoology itself offers many features and ease of use among other LMS, using a very simple and supported overall function, teachers and lecturers prefer Schoology as one of the LMS applications in their classroom. One of them is "Add Folder." It is used to organize the sub-material in Schoology. The next function is "Attendance", which is used as the report data of the students' login in the teacher's Schoology design.

Good argues that reading is the interaction between the writer and the written language through which the reader constructs the writer's message.24 Reading is the interaction between what readers already know about a certain topic or subject and what the writer writes. Gray identifies four reading processes which are: 1) Perception is the ability to pronounce a word as a meaningful unit, 2) Comprehension is the ability to make individual words produce useful ideas when read in context, 3) Reaction is judgmental. action, feeling about what the author said, 4) Integration is the ability to assimilate an idea or concept into one background of experience.25. The eye quickly skims over the next to find out what it is about, the main idea and the point.

Since the amount of comprehension must be high, the reading speed is correspondingly slower.26 Types of reading. The purpose of individual reading is to check the pronunciation, intonation and speaking rate of students one by one. Silent reading tends to reinforce readers to find the meaning of the words.

Based on the shared questionnaire, 29(51.8) students agree that they prefer online reading materials over textbooks. English students should pay more attention to the online reading materials shared by their teacher. Future researchers could conduct any research to identify aspects related to online reading materials.

This questionnaire aims to gather information about students' perceptions of online reading materials about school.

DISCUSSION

Category of Online Reading Materials

  • Motivation and Interest
  • Online Reading Efficiency
  • The difficulty of Online Reading Materials on Schoology41

There was motivation and interest in online reading materials about schology, online reading efficiency about schology, problems with online reading materials about schology, preference for online reading materials about schology or printed text. The result of the first part of the questionnaire showed a positive response due to online reading interest in Schoology. Moreover, the online reading materials on Schoology improved the learning experience of students, and also Schoology provides an innovative and interactive environment that helps the students gain a better understanding of online reading.

However, online reading materials were increasingly used because their teacher dominated the online reading materials. Here are the student statements that agree with this research, I prefer better online reading material because the reading text book is very stagnant. The students who participated in the study experience that online reading material provides positive experiences, allowing them to read the material anytime and anywhere.

English students can apply online reading materials shared as a way to learn English better. English teachers should be aware of the phenomena of online reading materials in their environment, especially in the school environment. Marsauli Siti Ndaon, Bambang Wijaya dan Urai Salam, “Metacognitive online reading strategy practiced by English students.”.

Priscila Christianti, tenth grade students' perception of developed online reading material through Schoology, Surabaya, dissertation, Widya Mandala Catholic University, 2020. Online reading material on scholology emerges positive experiences; will often learn and do the assignment using online. I like to have required online reading materials in my gadget to read them whenever and wherever I want.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTIONS

Conclusions

They also noticed that this LMS improved their reading comprehension by making it easier for them to understand the digital texts, find the vast amount of material and ensure that they could access their material easily without any restrictions. Therefore, it can be concluded that since students positively evaluate the use of online reading materials, this LSM should be further implemented to improve students' reading comprehension.
