The purpose of this research is to analyze the performance of speech act behavior in speaking students of the IAIN Metro English language education program. In this case, the writer compiled a research proposal entitled "An Analysis of Speech Act Behavior in Students Speaking Speaking Performance English Education Education Program Study at IAIN Metro.". The object of this research was the 16 students in the third semester of the English Education Study Program of IAIN Metro.

Untuk menganalisis data, digunakan teknik analisis yang dikemukakan oleh Creswell.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa semester tiga Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di IAIN Metro melakukan 38 perilaku tindak tutur mahasiswa dan jenis tuturan yang ditemukan. tindakan. yaitu tindak lokusi, tindak ilokusi, dan tindak perlokusi. The primary source of this research is the recorded data of students' speech act behavior in English at the English Education Department at IAIN Metro. The author takes documents from the result of the use of speech act at students'. In the process of collecting the data, the author collects the results of speaking students to analyze and identify the use of speech act in speaking.

In this research, the author will observe the recorded data of students' English speech behavior in the English language education program of students at IAIN Metro. The following table is the result of the speech behavior types of students' speaking performance. From the above data, 38 speech actions in students and types of speech actions have been found, they are locutionary action, illocutionary action and perlocutionary action.

Based on the data analyzed in the third semester of the educational study program at IAIN Metro, the writer was analyzed for the problem of speech act behavior when speaking. Meanwhile, the result of the data analysis describes that the most dominant type of speech act behavior, 29 of the students' statements is speech act. From the above data, it can be said that the most dominant form of speech act in third semester students' education at IAIN Metro is locutionary act, which is 29 utterances or 76.31%. The most dominant form of speech act found in the third semester of students speaking performance in English education study program at IAIN Metro is locutionary act which is 76. Locutionary act is the most dominant form of speech act in the third semester of students speaking performance in English Education Study Program at IAIN Metro because locutionary act the most general form of speech act used in conversation.

IAIN Metro has four faculties, namely the Faculty of Tarbiyah, the Faculty of Economic Business, the Faculty of Syari'ah and the Faculty of Islamic News and Communication.

In addition, Syari'ah faculty includes Islamic Law Department (AS), Islamic Economic Law (Hesy) and Islamic Constitutional Law (HTNI). Furthermore, Islamic Economics and business faculty consists of D3 syari'ah banking (D3 PBS), bachelor's degree in syari'ah banking (S1 PBS), Islamic economics study program (ESy), Islamic accounting (AKS) and pilgrimage management (MHU). At the same time, Islamic Announcing and Communication Faculty covers Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Program (KPI), Language and Arabic Literature (BSA), and Islamic Extension Guidance (BPI).

Discussion

The way to solve the problem of speech act in speaking behavior is for students to study more about speech act, increase their vocabulary, practice conversation to improve their speaking ability, also they can learn by listening to music or watching movies. Students are expected to learn and explore more about pragmatics, especially in the study of speech acts. An Analysis of Speech Act Proficiency Conducted by Students of English Department at Muhammadiyah University of Metro.

B1: Speaking is one of the basic skills in learning English and there are important rules in communication. B1: Speaking is the process of constructing and sharing the use of verbal or non-verbal symbols in a context. B1: Speaking is the ability to speak fluently, but not only, but also the ability to process or transmit ideas or information orally.

B1: I think speech acts when I ask the speaker, then the speaker I have ever met answers me back. B1: I think that speaking is making vocal sounds, we can say that speaking means to meet or express a thought and feeling in speaking English to speak often and convey information. B1 : Speech act is about when we talk to someone and ask questions about his name, his address, his age.

B1 : In my opinion speech act is not difficult because I think speech act is so easy and just answers the question. B1 : I think speaking is how to produce sound that has meaning to build conversation with other people and share information. B1 : Speaking is a process of sharing and building meaning, where the verbal and non-verbal symbol is used in different contexts.

B1 : I don't have much vocabulary and sometimes I can't understand the speaker because of my limited vocabulary. B1 : I think it's difficult because we have to give an answer to help what they ask me. B1 : I think maybe it's the accent or how they pronounce it and I can't make it clear, so I can't think what to answer.

B1 : I think in pronunciation because there is so much vocabulary that pronunciation is difficult and how to pronounce it well and I still have a hard time with it. B1: I think it's hard because I've never heard this before and I still need to look for this, so I can't give a clear reason.
