RINL ALWAYS ATTACHES IMPORTANCE TO SAFETY
Sri NS Rao, Director(Projects) RINL-VSP today inaugurated the “Safety Awareness WeeK” of Modernisation & Capita Repair (M&CR) Department. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Rao stressed upon the need of safety especially for modernization of projects being done in the existing running plant.
RINL is always in forefront in attaching importance to safety aspects since inception, he added. Further he emphasized that the experience of conducting category-2 repairs for both the furnaces should be utilized. Incidents and accidents if any happened during category-2 repairs should be discussed with the agencies and their sub-contractors and risk mitigation plans are to be prepared.
Projects Divisions has taken up initiatives to further improve awareness of safety aspects among the various agencies and VSP personnel working in expansion and modernization of projects. Accordingly M&CR project division which is carrying out of projects and major modernization works in Blast Furnaces, Sinter Plant, Convertor Shop is conducting safety awareness week from 18th to 23rd March,2013 under the guidance of Sri B Balaram, GM(Projects )-M&CR.
SEA President, Sri K Madhava Rao, recognized union President, Sri N Rama Raao, General Secretary, Sri D Adinarayana, INTUC general secretary, Sri Mantri Rajasekhar, SC/ST Association President, Sri Deenmanasu in their address stressed the importance of safety in the plant. Senior officials of VSP representatives of Dastur & Co also graced the occasion. Sri.Shaik Irfan Basha, AGM(M)-M&CR conducted the proceedings.
