Pagbasa sa Mabuting Balita ayon kay San Mateo,

Kawawa kayong mga guro ng Batas at mga Pariseo, kayong mga mapagkunwari! Para kayong mga pinaputing libingan na maganda sa labas pero puno ng buto ng mga patay at ng iba pang karumihan ang loob. Gayundin naman, mukha kayong mga taong banal ngunit puno naman ng pagkukunwari at kasamaan ang loob.

Kawawa kayong mga guro ng Batas at mga Pariseo, kayong mga mapagkunwari! Nagtatayo kayo ng mga monumento para sa mga propeta at pinapalamutian ang mga bantayog ng mga banal na tao. Sinsabi ninyo: ‘Kung tayo ang nabuhay sa panahon ng ating mga ninuno, hindi sana tayo sumang-ayon na patayin ang mga propeta.’ Kaya kayo ang umaamin na mga anak kayo ng mga pumatay sa mga propeta. At ngayon, tapusin ninyo ang sinimulan ng inyong mga ninuno!

Pagninilay:

Ipinapahiwatig ng Ebanghelyo natin ngayon na mapapalad ang mga taong may mga kabutihang loob. Kalimitan sa atin ay nagiging katulad tayo ng mga Pariseo, na nagtuturo ng mga kabutihan, ngunit taliwas naman sa kanilang mga itinuturo ang kanilang ginagawa. Tinatawag tayo ng inahamon din tayo na mamuhay na ayon sa kalooban ng ating Ama.

Panalangin:

Panginoon, na maging isang tunay na Kristyano, hindi maging isang “sarado katoliko.”

Panginoong Hesukristo, turuan mo kaming mamuhay ng may pananampalataya. Ituro mo sa amin ang tunay na daan tungo sa katotohanan nang sa gayon’y makapamuhay kami ng naaayon sa iyong kalooban. Hinihiling namin ito sa pamamagitan ni Hesu-Kristo kasama ng Espiritu Santo. Amen

• If it rains tomorrow during the time of the arrival of the Archbishop, students who are assigned outside the SENTRUM will just stay inside their respective classroom and have their classes.

Archbishop had already entered the SENTRUM gate, the students who are outside the SENTRUM will go back to their classes while those who are inside will stay until the end of the program.

1. Homeroom advisers will stay with their advisory class until 9:00AM while subject teachers for 9:40 AM class for Grades 9 and 10 and 10:00 AM class for Grades 7 and 8 will accompany and stay with their respective classes in their assigned area.

2. Please be informed that those classes who will be assigned to join the program inside the SENTRUM will have a practice today from 8:40 – 12:00 noon at the SENTRUM. Movement in going to the venue will be after the morning routines. Students are advised to bring with them their packed snacks or money. CLCE subject teachers will be in charge of the practice.

3. All students should wear the Type B uniform tomorrow and PE uniform on Friday.

b. As the WEST DISTRICT ATHLETIC MEET 2019 started yesterday, the whole SHS community wishes all the BEST to all the DLSL Athletes (especially Athletes from SHS). May you always have enough strength and power to achieve the goal. God bless you always!

2. On the Visit of the Relic of St. John Baptist De La Salle - The DLSU Advancement and Alumni Relations Office is currently in charge of managing the prayer intentions and donation box accompanying the relic of our founder, St. John Baptist De La Salle. They are also in charge of the fundraising campaign for the building of the Shrine of St. John Baptist De La Salle where his relic will be housed.

In connection to this, we are humbly asking for your help and generosity to donate and be part of this momentous project. Prayer petitions and donation envelopes will be distributed to each class.

Whatever amount you will donate will be of help in this noble project which will help us share to everyone the Lasallian legacy of faith, service and communion.

4. Tour of the Relic of St. John Baptist De La Salle to Cathedral

a. Please be informed that the Relic of St. John Baptist De La Salle will be brought to San Sebastian Parish, Cathedral Lipa City on August 30, Friday, for general public veneration. There will be Mass at 9:00AM in the Cathedral. Expected Time of Departure from DLSL (in front of SENTRUM) will start at 7:30AM. Vehicles will be provided by the school.

b. In line with this, the Grade 12 ABM and HUMSS classes are requested to attend the said activity.

Hence, all class presidents are requested to get the Waiver Forms from the GM’s/DO’s office, particularly, Ms. Mercy. Then, kindly distribute to the members of your respective classes.

Class secretaries will be the one to check the attendance in the morning before leaving the campus and in the Cathedral.

Malalim ang naging batik ng akusasyong “purismo” noong dekada 60 laban sa Wikang Pambansa na tinawag na Pilipino. Ang pangalan mismo ay patunay na Tagalog pa rin ito. Bakit? Dahil ang “Pilipino” ay nakabatay sa naging bigkas at baybay sa “Pilipinas” alinsunod sa abakadang Tagalog na may 20 titik. Walang titik F ang abakada dahil walang tunog na F sa Tagalog. Kayâ ang lahat ng salitang hiniram na Espanyol na may tunog na F ay tinapatan ng tunog at titik P. Ang forma ay naging “porma,” ang fino ay “pino,” ang farol ay “parol.” At kayâ ang orihinal na pangalan ng ating bansa na Filipinas ay naging “Pilipinas.” At kayâ ang “Pilipino” ay maituturing na anak ng naganap na transpormasyong “Pilipinas” sa Tagalog.

Ang pagtawag na “Filipino” sa Wikang Pambansa ng 1987 Konstitusyon ay may mahihiwatigang bagong mithiin.

From the Mathematics Department ON MTAP 2019

Please be informed that the Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines (MTAP) in collaboration with DepEd is offering MTAP Saturday Mathematics Program for Regular Students.

The Mathematics Program for Regular Students aims to:

a. provide learners with the opportunity to explore Mathematics without the threat of tests;

b. review the materials covered last school year to enable the pupils to do well in Mathematics this school year c. prepare the Grade 6 and G10 learners for the private school’s entrance examinations for Junior High School

and Senior High School; and

9 d. prepare them for the local, regional, national and international Mathematics competitions.

The 2019 MTAP – DepEd Saturday Mathematics Program for Regular Students will be conducted for six Saturdays starting September 7 – October 12, 2019 from 7:30am to 12:00nn in Lipa City National High School for Junior High School and Senior High School and Tambo Elementary School for Grade School.

If you are interested, please submit the payment of P200 and reply slip of the letter that can be asked from your subject teacher on or before August 30, 2019. Thank you.
