ANG MABUTING BALITA (Jn. 1:45-51)
Ang Mabuting Balita ng Panginoon ayon kay San Juan
Natagpuan ni Felipe si Natanael at sinabi nito sa kanya: “Ang tinukoy ni Moises na nakasulat sa Batas at Mga Propeta, natagpuan namin siya – si Jesus na anak ni Jose, na taga-Nazaret.” Sinabi naman sa kanya ni Natanael: “May mabuti bang puwedeng manggaling sa Nazaret?” Sagot sa kanya ni Felipe: “Halika’t makikita mo.” Nakita ni Jesus si Natanael na palapit sa kanya at sinabi niya tungkol sa kanya: “Hayan, isang totoong sraelitang walang pagkukunwari.”
Sinabi sa kanya ni Natanael: “Paano mo ko nakilala?” Sumagot sa kanya si Jesus: “Bago ka pa man tawagin ni Felipe, habang nasa ilalim ka ng punong-igos, nakita na kita.” Sumagot si Natanael: “Rabbi, ikaw ang Anak ng Diyos, ikaw ang Hari ng Israel.” Sumagot si Jesus: Sinabi ko lang sa iyong nakita kita sa ilalim ng punong-igos, at naniniwala ka na? Higit pa sa mga ito ang makikita mo.” At idinugtong ni Jesus:
“Talagang-talagang sinasabi ko sa inyo, makikita ninyong bukas na ang langit at panhik-panaog sa Anak ng Tao ang mga anghel ng Diyos.”
Pagninilay:
Nakilala ni Natanael si Hesus at kilalang-kilala ni Hesus si Natanael bago pa man niya ito nakausap. Ikaw, alam mo bang kilalang-kilala ka ng Diyos? Alam mo bang bago ka pa isilang, alam na ng Diyos ang iyong kinabukasan? Subalit, bakit di mo itanong sa iyong sarili, gaano mo Siya kakilala? Pinipilit mo ba Siyang kilalanin? Hindi ba nararapat lamang na kilalanin mo Siya? Hindi ba’t pag nakilala mo Siya, mas makikilala mo kung sino ka? Halina’t gugulin natin ang ating panahon di sa mga walang kwentang bagay, kundi sa pag-kilala sa Kanya.
Panalangin:
Buksan mo, Panginoon ang aming isip at puso upang Ikaw ay aming lubos na makilala. Amen .

1. Aug. 27, 2018 was declared a regular holiday in commemoration of the “National Heroes Day”. Please be guided accordingly.
2. Mission Collection in the Grade School will commence on Aug. 28, Tuesday. Homeroom Advisers are requested to re/orient our students on the nature and purpose of this noble project of DLSL.
Nature: Integrated School students are regularly having voluntary contribution in support to realization of the school’s vision-mission.
Purpose: To sustain the implementation of the Catechetical and Religious Emissaries (CARE) Program and other outreach programs of the Integrated School for the selected public elementary and secondary schools
To respond to the various needs of the De La Salle Philippines, Archdiocese of Lipa, the city of Lipa, Department of Education, religious organizations, various government and non-government agencies and qualified beneficiaries who seek assistance such as individuals seeking from hunger, illness or loss of life and property and victims of calamities.
3. Grades 4 -6 students are reminded of the following lunch break rules.
a. You may have your lunch at any of the IS canteens.
b. You may stay at the canteen until 12:20pm.
c. Observe CLAYGO and proper table manners.
d. Staying in the classroom and along the corridors is not allowed.
e. Avoid playing and running so as not to encounter untoward incidents.
f. Pray fervently during the Angelus.
g. Go back to the classroom at 12:20pm in an orderly manner.

Naiiba nga ba ang Pilipino sa Tagalog?
May mga aspetong naiiba at hindi naiiba. Naiiba dahil ang Tagalog ay ang wikang
katutubo ng mga Tagalog at hinirang noong 1939 na maging batayan ng wikang pambansa alinsunod sa atas ng 1935 Konstitusyon. Ang Pilipino ay pangalang itinawag sa nabuong wikang pambansa sa bisa ng atas pangkagawaran ni Kalihim Jose E. Romero noong 13 Agosto 1959. Ipinalabas ang atas, kaugnay ng pagdiriwang sa nalalapit noong Linggo ng Wika at upang maitanim ang kabuluhan ng isang nagkakaisang midyum ng komunikasyon.
Hindi naiiba dahil kung iisipin hindi naman namatay ang Tagalog habang nagaganap ang pagbuo sa Wikang Pambansa, ang wikang tinawag na Pilipino noong 1959 ay nagtataglay pa rin ng mga katangian ng Tagalog.

ON MTAP 2018
Please be informed that the Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines (MTAP) in collaboration with DepEd is offering a Saturday Mathematics Program for Regular Students.
The Mathematics Program for Regular Students aims to:
a. provide learners with the opportunity to explore Mathematics without the threat of tests;
b. review the materials covered last school year to enable the pupils to do well in Mathematics this school year c. prepare the Grade 6 and 10 learners for the private school’s entrance examinations for Junior High School
and Senior High School; and
d. prepare them for the local, regional, national and international Mathematics competitions.
The Saturday Mathematics Program for Regular Students will be conducted for six Saturdays from September 1 – October 6, 2018 at 8am to 12:00nn with a fee of Php200 for all the sessions. This will be held in Lipa City National High School. If you are interested, please see Ms. Nicca Mendoza or Ms. Ma.Theresa Caya at the Office of the LAC, 4th floor on or before August 29. Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis is an infectious, airborne disease that kills millions of people around the world every year.
Tuberculosis, or TB, is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis symptoms may include the following:
• A cough that starts out dry but later produces blood or sputum (thick liquid from deep inside the lungs)
• -Coughing for longer than a month
• Chest pain
• Breathing difficulty e.g. shortness of breath
• Weakness or fatigue
• Loss of weight and appetite
• Chills and fevers (the fever may be low and may be intermittent)
• Joint pain
• Wheezing
• Rales (additional sounds made to those of normal breathing)
• Excessive sweating, including sweating at night
• Hearing loss
• Diarrhea
• A persistent lump or lesion
• Clubbing of fingers or toes – the nails become swollen and feel slightly "pulpy".
When to see a doctor Call a health professional if:
• You have been exposed to TB, or if symptoms develop
• Symptoms persist despite treatment
• New symptoms develop
If you are infectious while at home, protect yourself and others as follows:
• Wash your hands after sneezing, coughing or holding your hands near your mouth or nose.
• Cover your mouth with a tissue when you cough, sneeze or laugh. Discard used tissues in a plastic bag, then seal and throw it away.
• Do not attend work or school.
• Avoid close contact with others.
• Sleep in a room away from other family members.
• Ventilate your room regularly. TB spreads in small closed spaces. Put a fan in your window to blow out air that may contain bacteria.
