GOD’S WORDS FOR TODAY (Lk 21:1-4) The Holy Gospel according to St. Luke,
When Jesus looked up, he saw some wealthy people putting their offerings into the treasury and he noticed a poor widow putting in two small coins. He said, “I tell you truly, this poor widow put in more than all the rest; for those others have all made offerings from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has offered her whole livelihood.”
Reflection:
Give until it hurts. Do you know the reason why Jesus is asking not a part of us but the totality of our being? Simply because when Jesus offered His life on the Cross for our Salvation, He gave everything. He is a very demanding person, when He gives; it cost Him His very life. When He asks, He is asking everything from us not our surplus. It is easy to dispose things we do not really need. But to give what is important to us, definitely our commitment to Jesus would be shaken if we do not have complete trust and faith to Him. Losing somebody who is dear to us would open a possibility to get mad at God even asking Him the question why such thing happened. It is not easy to give up something we value, or someone we loved, but in so doing, God would reward us more if not in this life surely in the next life.
Let us pray,
Dear Lord, let Your generosity flows in my being now and forever. Amen.
St John Baptist de la Salle…Pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts… Forever!

World Diabetes Day Common Symptoms
Both types of diabetes have some of the same tell tale warning signs.
Hunger and fatigue. Your body converts the food you eat into glucose that your cells use for energy. But your cells need insulin to bring the glucose in.
If your body doesn't make enough or any insulin, or if your cells resist the insulin your body makes, the glucose can't get into them and you have no energy. This can make you more hungry and tired than usual.
Peeing more often and being thirstier. The average person usually has to pee between four and seven times in 24 hours, but people with diabetes may go a lot more.
Why? Normally your body reabsorbs glucose as it passes through your kidneys. But when diabetes pushes your blood sugar up, your body may not be able to bring it all back in. It will try to get rid of the extra by making more urine, and that takes fluids.
