GOD’S WORDS FOR TODAY (Mt. 7:21, 24-27) The Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew,

Jesus said to his disciples, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock. And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined.”

Reflection:

What kind of spiritual house are you building? Is it a house built on rock or sand? If we do not have strong faith to God, we are building a house on the sand. If we believe that God will never forsake us no matter what happens and trust with all our hearts, we are building a house on rock. Following the will of God means doing what He wants us to do. How to know what He wants us to is through sincere recollection and prayer. How is prayer life nowadays, does God occupy a place in your life? Is He the priority or the least in the order of our priorities? Jesus said, not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in Heaven.

Let us pray…

May we discern and do Your will Lord today. Amen.

St. John Baptist De La Salle…Pray for us!

Live Jesus in our hearts…Forever!

“Daily Meal with God”

How is Advent celebrated?

Some spend the four weeks leading up to Christmas as a time for fasting, or at the very least a season of penitence. Church services during this season usually include purple vestments and tabernacle colors.

However, the season is generally very festive, with particular decorations and some gift-giving among families and friends.

Thank you so much Mass sponsors today. As we prepare for Jesus’ coming, may we request all classes to be present at the Eucharistic celebration tomorrow.
