At sinabi niya: “Halika.”

AMEN.

San Juan Bautista De La Salle … Ipanalangin mo kami!

There have been 15 Presidents of the Philippines since the office was created on January 23, 1899. Despite the rise of different republics throughout Philippine history, the presidency constitutes a continuous line from its inaugural holder, President Emilio Aguinaldo, to the current President of the Philippines, Benigno S. Aquino III.

Alamin Natin

FROM THE OVCAD – INSTITUTIONAL HEALTH SERVICES:

AUGUST IS NATIONAL LUNG MONTH Tips for Keeping Your Lungs Healthy

Challenge your lungs to help keep them in top shape

We often don’t consider the important role our lungs play in keeping us strong and well. It’s not until we experience problems breathing that we take notice. But the truth is, like the rest of our body, our lungs need daily care and attention.

Breathing feeds oxygen to every cell in the body. Without sufficient oxygen, people are more prone to health problems, including respiratory illnesses, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and even heart disease.

But ordinary, everyday breathing isn’t enough to keep the oxygen flowing through the body at peak levels, experts say.

"Lungs at rest and during most daily activities are only at 50 percent of their capacity," says Jennifer M. Ryan, a certified specialist in cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy. "Like the rest of your body, lungs thrive on movement and activity."

Since regular day-to-day activity doesn’t help you use your lungs to full capacity, you need to challenge the lungs with more intense activity.

"Your lungs need at the very least 20 minutes of consistent, moderately intense movement daily, like a brisk walk," says Ryan.

"Also, to help counteract the build-up of toxins and tar in the lungs caused by environmental pollutants, allergens, dust and cigarette smoke, you need to help your lungs cleanse themselves."

Prayer Before an Examination

Dear Lord, as I take this exam, I thank you that my value Is not based on my performance, but on your great love for me.

Come into my heart so that we can walk through this time together.

Help me, not only with this test, but the many tests of life that are sure to come my way.

As I take this exam, bring back to my mind everything I studied and be gracious with what I have overlooked.

Help me to remain focussed and clam, confident in the facts and in my ability, and firm in the knowledge that no matter what happens today you are there with me. Amen Source: http://www.salesiansireland.ie/prayer-spirituality/everyday-prayers/prayer-before-study-exams/
