THE HOLY GOSPEL (Lk 10:21-24) The Holy Gospel according to St. Luke,
Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”
Turning to the disciples in private he said, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.”
Reflections:
Everything depends on the gracious will of the Father who chooses to reveal his saving plan to the poor and the simple man through his Son Jesus. To the wise and the learned who presume that they will be favored by God, the secrets of the kingdom are hidden. They have eyes but cannot see, ears but cannot hear. Their attachment to their beliefs and their willingness to believe in Jesus make them unable to grasp the “good news” of God.
Prayer:
Let us pray…
Almighty God, help us to see what You want to see us and hear what You want to hear us, as we listen to the simple people and share our views about life, about happiness and about You. Amen…
St. John Baptist De La Salle…Pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts…Forever!

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT AND CHANCELLOR:
On Alay kay Maria – Every year, we have dedicated our December 8th celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception by sharing our physical and material presence to the poorest of the poor of Lipa and surrounding towns. It is our simple way of sharing the gift of Mother Mary's love for us by keeping the campus safe, free from all harm and in promoting peace within us and with our community, Through her intercession, we are indeed blessed!
In this connection, we continue to encourage all to be present for the mass on December 8 at 7:30 am and join in the outreach and to sacrifice one day for Mother Mary's children who may not feel blessed nor experienced God's grace in their lives.

WHY DO CATHOLICS HAVE TO ATTEND SUNDAY MASS?
When we make a decision to deny His invitation to covenant we are saying we don't want a relationship with Him. Because our God loves us and is a gentleman, he allows us to do this.
However, it’s a grave sin to miss Mass.
If we have full knowledge that missing Mass is a grave sin and we fully consent to it (i.e. being sick or getting in a car accident on the way to Mass would be legitimate excuses for missing Mass), then we are in a state of mortal sin … we have cut off our relationship with God and need to seek the Sacrament of Reconciliation before we receive Holy Communion again.
