Abstract
Male participation during childbirth
is very
importantto
their transition to fatherhood. The objective of this study is to determine the attitudes and needsof
fathersin
childbirth participation. Aquantitative,
descriptivecorrelation study wils used.
The participants were selected fathers aged 15 to more than 48 years old regardlessif
they are first-time fathers, second-timeor
more by referral system under non-probability sampling (n=100). Thersults
reported that majority of fathers (72Uo) attitude towards childbirth participation is positive. Th"y aspire to provide successful suPPoft
during childbirth to their
partnerand to their
