The world has moved into a technological-information age requiring greater levels

of

literacy

for full

participation

in

computer science,

engineering

and

basically

all professions, As

technology constantly changes, new innovations and global exchange of information both in the classroom and workplace Calls

for

proficient reading especially

in

the tertiary

level. ln

Holy Angel University, there is

a

need

to

enhance the reading comprehension skills of students to be equally competitive in the urcrkplace after graduation. With this in mind, the researcher proposed instructional strategies

for the

students

of

technical courses towards innovative teaching.
