Abstract
Path analysis was used to test the good fit of the proposed model on the factors predictive of college adjustment based on the responses of 361 freshmen college of Holy Angel University.
These participants completed a questionnaire assessing their academic self-efiicacy, study skills, test anxiety, academic motivation and satisfaction on campus environment. Results of the path analysis showed that all the factors are positive predictors of academic adjustment that was measured by a grade point average at the end of first semester. Findings of the study suggest that the guidance office should include the above mentioned factors in designing a program to help fteshmen in coping with college academic adjustnent.
