Contract Agreement between AVECS Corporation and UP for the construction of the UP Mindanao Center for the Advancement of Research in the construction of the UP Mindanao Center for the Advancement of Research in Mindanao – Phase 3 of the CARIM Building. The President presented the recommendations of the Office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs. President Concepcion confirmed that due to the two failed bids, the procurement was done through negotiated procurement with Trends and Technologies, Inc.

In the second donation, they are giving the University an addition of 386 square meters that will widen the front of the expansion campus.

As for employee benefits, he said funding for existing regular employee benefits is already incorporated into the base budget and any additional benefits come from savings or internal University revenue. President Concepcion explained that existing faculty members who are already teaching for a long time without articles will be given priority. Regent Dupo also asked if the 400 faculty articles to be given by DBM within 3 years is on top of the 700 faculty articles requested by CU, which President Concepcion affirmed.

President Concepcion explained that the budget proposal is divided into specific projects and specific expenditure items, and DBM approves or disapproves per item.
