Abstract
The aim of the
study wasto identify to what
ercent parents perceivethe
distress experiencedby their children
undergoing chemotherapy. Descriptive and cross-sectional designs were used.Convenience and snowball sample
of 42
parents comprised the respondents. Based onthe
results, the parents identified feeling worried about receiving the side effects, treatments and procedures as the most prevalent qrmptom ergeriencedby their
child while they found disappointment at missing activitieswith
friends/peersas the most treatment-related
s
