While

advanced

countries have and provided

adequate

knowledge regarding

how chemotherapy affects the patient's body, countries

like

the Philippines experience a lack of appreciation and understanding regarding chemotherapeutic therapy. The purpose

of

this research is

to

have a focused effiort

to

understand

how

patients feel regarding

their

condition and

what they

experience

when

they undergo chemotherapy. As the research study used people's

life

as a basis, as

well

as analyzed

it, the

study used

the

qualitative type of research design.

A

phenomenological approach

of

qualitative study was used.

In

accordance

with

phenomenological research perspective, purposive sampling was

utilized in which the

participants

were

selected

in

accordance

to the

need

of the

study. The participants are all patients from a selected private hospital

in

Angeles City; all are

within

legal age, has a diagnosis of Cancer and had undergone chemotherapy. Due to the nature of the study Colaizzi's Phenomenological method was

utilized to

analyze the qualitative data. The

journey of the

cancer patients

through

chemotherapy was explored further, their life of vagueness,

their

tainted self-worth, and

their

realization.
