Abstract

Choral videoke singing has been

Madapdap Resettlement

School since school year 2006

its effectiveness

in

improving the reading fluency of its

first

year high school struggling readers was the focus

of

this study. Using the single-group pretest-posttest experimental design

of

research, reading fluency was measured in three dimensions

accuracy)rate,' and prosody.

After

the choral videoke singing intervention, Paired-Samples

Test showed that there was ^a significant average difference in the accuftrcy and rate of the struggling readers; the same result was also proven in pr.gsody using the

Wilcoxon

Signed Rank Test.
